How did they make another Interstellar movie so fas-Oh, it's Fantastic 4.

Soguru

I'm impressed. As long as the movie holds true to the tone of this trailer, it has a shot at being pretty good.

Darth Geek

*sigh* FANT4STIC? Really?! Is the sequel going to be FANT4STIIC?

I've felt pretty negative about this movie, but I've got to admit that the trailer looks pretty awesome.

Yeah, the only thing I didn't like about the trailer is the title treatment, but hey another excuse for mispronunciation jokes.  I liked Scream 4 but I still call it Screfourm.  Lets see how Fantfourstic does.

Making grammar Nazis twitch seems like a fun side-benefit to me

Ok, now that I'll agree with.

I don't know what the rest of you are seeing. This trailer really didn't leave much of an impression on me, as it hardly showed anything I was interested in. It was all set up. And given that I'm already annoyed that they have to do an origina story yet again, this trailer makes it look like most of the movie will be them getting their powers. Maybe that's not the case, but that's what I get from this.
I'm sure in not too much longer we'll get another trailer with a clear shot of The Thing looking badass. Because I really like the look of him that we got a while ago with that bust standin on the greenscreen stage. But until then I'll remain skeptical.

The actors were pretty forgettable, but I agree that the tone was intriguing.

The tone is overly serious. Which in a post Batman Begins world, seems entirely unnecessary. As that movie was a reaction to how silly a lot of comic book movies had gotten in the 90s. And it was APPROPRIATE for Batman. Not so for Fantastic Four.

It's also a shame that we probably won't get costumes that look like the comics. Because the ONE thing the Tim Story movies actually got right was the costumes.

These are four of the best actors working right now. They are all right on the cusp of taking a role that will get them huge acclaim.

Mr Fantastic is Miles Teller.  He is the star of Whiplash which is currently nominated for Best Picture.  He was a contender for Best Actor, but didn't quite make the cut.  He was also in the critically acclaimed movies Spectacular Now and Rabbit Hole.

Johnny Storm is Michael B Jordan.  He was the star of a movie that came out a couple years ago called Fruitvale Station which got a lot of love at the Independent Spirit awards.  He was also in The Wire.  Does anyone have an opinion about that show?

Sue Storm is Kate Mara.  She doesn't get quite the attention as her sister, Rooney Mara (Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Social Network), but she has been nominated for an Emmy for her work in House of Cards.

Ben Grimm is Jamie Bell.  He got a ton of awards for Billy Elliot.  He's also been in King Kong, Tintin (as Tintin), and Nymphomaniac.

Anyone of these actors are just on the verge of becoming a household name.  You really could not get a better group of actors.

That doesn't mean I like the casting, though.  I think they are all too young for these roles, and I don't understand how Johnny and Sue are going to be brother and sister.

I'll admit to being completely ignorant of the comic so maybe I'm wrong, but, as I understand it, their powers have nothing to do with them being biologically related.  They could easily be half-siblings or one or both of them could be adopted.  Anyway, I really hope this is good because the cast is so great.  Like you said, all of them have the potential to be superstars in the future.

Oh, and Michael B. Jordan was also in Friday Night Lights.  It's not quite as lauded as The Wire, but that is two shows he's been in that are considered great by a lot of people.

You don't understand how adoption, step-families or mixed race children work?
