Godzilla: King of The Monsters (2019)

Got my ticket yesterday. My philosophy is the the earlier the showing on opening night, the better. I managed to snag a ticket for a 4 pm showing next Thursday. Just... please be good.

I loved the movie. But I don't get how in the hell they made finding Atlantis and the Oxygen Destroyer into minor subplots that didn't effect anything and could have been cut out of the film?!

[Pak-Man]

Well the oxygen destroyer was in the grand tradition of humans coming up with some super-science to fight the Kaiju that totally backfires. It also took Godzilla out of commission so we could see that he really is essential to keeping the balance on Earth. Without him, everyone bows to King Ghidora.

I actually don't remember Atlantis at all and I just saw the movie like 2 hours ago, so I guess that's how small if a plot point it was.

They don't actually call it that in the movie. But it's a huge, advanced, ancient city under the ocean. I just figured it was Atlantis.

I haven't seen Godzilla vs Kong yet, but wouldn't it be funny if Mecha-Godzilla killed both of them?
