I like it. Although I wonder why they went out of their way to make the women's skin to look so rough.

At least during the closing credits I would guess. Hard to imagine any version of Ghostbusters without it.

Unless the Ghostbusters movie involves a giant Gorilla in a safari hat...

Which in itself would come with a catchy song.

The Lurker

I was surprised when the Ghostbusters crossover comic had a nod to that, considering the legal wrangling they must have done.

Between both Ghostbusters cartoons, imagine all the confusion kids had to endure during the 80's.

I lived it. "Why are there two Ghostbusters cartoons and why is one so much closer to the source material than the other?" The prevailing theory on the playground at the time was that the Ghost Busters were distant relatives of The Real Ghostbusters in the future, and that's why they had the crazy gadgets. It wasn't a rock solid theory, but it worked on pre-teen me. :^)

I remember having vague discussions about it with other kids on the playground... but I think we said that the bad guy from the other Ghostbusters cartoon (Prime-Evil) was a close relative of the bad guy from the Pac Man cartoon (Mezmaron), and that Pac-man was actually the original Ghostbuster.

For some reason I never saw The Filmation Ghostbusters cartoon as a kid, and was only aware of The Real Ghostbusters. It was still confusing, as I was left wondering why a tv show would claim that the animated version was "real" as compared to the only other version I knew, featuring live actors.

I am laughing because I know you're being sarcastic.

I was really hoping somebody would comment on my Mezmaron and Prime Evil might be twin brothers theory.

Pak-Man

I might be the only one with the nerd cred to reply to that one, and I've got nothin'. :^)

I never watched the other Ghost Busters show either as a kid. I think at one point I just saw a picture of it, or maybe a commercial, and it looked sooooo stupid!
