Sideswipe

Yes, the originals.  Most people dont even know that the 1939 version of Wizard of Oz is a remake. No one gives a shit about the original versions of those movies, they have been reduced to obscurity or near obscurity.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

The Lurker

The original Fly with Vincent Price is still rather popular.

Pak-Man

Ah. I get it, now.

It's worth noting that this isn't a remake, though. They're not going to be telling the same story with Zuel, Vince Clortho, Gozer, Stay-Puft, and all that. (At least I'm pretty sure they aren't.) It's a new story with new characters that may or may not acknowledge the existence of the original. So it's less like The Amazing Spider-Man and more like- I dunno, actually.. I can't think of an example right now where they've stripped everything away from the original except for the concept and tools.

The Lurker

Yeah, I heard the villain is going to be new.

Edward J Grug III

Fans of the Bowery Boys were outraged when Ghostbusters was announced in the 80s.

Okay, you obviously don't understand.  That's fine.  Maybe you can stop being a knob about it.

If your point isn't covered by what I said above (and I think it was) then you have failed to communicate it. Don't get mad at me.

The post of mine you just quoted was directed at Sideswipe's remake tirade, and not what you said, btw.

I hope so. But I would be surprised if they didn't have Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Slimer in there somewhere.

I think Slimer is inevitable. Can't really imagine more than a Stay Puft reference, but we'll see!

There's been manbaby comments in this tread. Are you stupid enough to read this thread?

stupid manbabies need the most attention.

Making sure Simpsons' references don't go unnoticed is the "like" button's top function.
