You admitted to shoppig at Hop Topic?! You fool! These posters will tear you apart like a pack of wild dogs! Run, Raven! I'll try to hold them off!

Hey, I shop there. And I'm not ashamed to admit it. If anyone here can name a better store exclusivly at the mall that sells cool clothes, 80's retro gear and body jewelry at reasonable prices without enduring having to look at classless sex/body humor joke gifts (I'm looking at you, Spencer's Gifts), I'd like to know about it.

I have nothig against Hot Topic, I should mention. It's just a common thing for people to make fun of, so I thought I'd try to defend Raven. However,

Relax, these have all been made public before and are nothing new.  I'm still here.

You heard him, people. He's faced his enemies, and walked away with their heads on pikes. Don't f**k with him.

Every year or so, I'll check out the clearance racks at Hot Topic; you can find some boffo stuff if you know where to look.
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

Hot Topic had some neat gear for swing dancing -- but their wear always seemed to be cheaply manufactured and low on life-expectancy....

Really? Like what sort of stuff? I do tango and there's some overlap in the apparel between that and swing.

I occasionally go into hot topic to buy wristbands. That's been my thing now for the past few years. I love wristbands. I found a couple with an autobot and decepticon logo on each one at my local hastings. You know, even I can find something I like about really bad movies. Most of the time what I like about them though is that they are totally laughable and therefore are comedies although not intended as such.

I like Hot Topic. Sure the employees look weird, but they're much friendlier than the douchebags at most of the clothing stores in the mall. I just got a Bender shirt there. BITE MY SHINY METAL ASS!

As for the Transfomers shirts, you're about a month too late. Harry Potter trumps Optimus Prime with the emo kids. Try the website.

The only think i hate about Hot Topic is they play that shitty heavy metal and alternative shit way too loud.

I think it's supposed to be part of the ambience.

But yeah, it's hard to have a conversation in that store.

Haha, that's good - yeah, they are "setting the mood" for subliminal thoughts like "I could really use a bunny shirt that says 'I hate you'"
I haven't been in one for a long time, but I remember they had this great binder of all concert touring dates - they had everybody from Jimmy Buffet to Black Flagg.

I tried selling my 1985 Bumblebee trading card on ebay but it didn't sell :(  I'd have been happy if it went for $1

You would have had luck if you were trying to sell a complete set of cards, maybe. Unfortunately Bumblebee isn't one of the rarer cards out there, either.

Thanks Sharktopus.  Got my shirt.  I looked through the site yesturday and the small sizes were the only ones listed.  Didn't realize that they had a different product code for the larger sizes.

So is it wrong that I laughed loudly at this? That's pretty sweet.
