Well,  stuff for the new movie is starting to roll in, including this lovely promo site: http://www.trask-industries.com/#/home

And then there's this image:

Wow. That just screams 1970s.

Do I have to see The Wolverine or the X Men First Class for this movie to make sense?

Not sure but you probably should because they're both fucking great, especially First Class says me.

This movie ties First Class to the original X-Men trilogy, so it would probably be a good idea to brush up on those. I haven't seen The Wolverine, so I can't speak to how much that one ties into continuity.

Definitely on the latter, probably not so much on the former.

Scott's correct, First Class is tons of fun, The Wolverine, eh, but then I'm "eh" on the character in general.

Not even a single shot of a Sentinel?

I'm glad. Save that shit for people who paid money to be in seats, I say.

Yes, this trailer shows that there's an emphasis on characters, which is what is going to sell me my ticket.  I'm going to love seeing the Sentinels on the big screen, but mainly I'm there hoping they can turn everything around and fix the series as a whole.

I'm talking about fixing the series assuming that one of the effects of the time travel is erasing X-Men 3 from the timeline, I already liked First Class.  I haven't seen The Wolverene yet, but I'm curious.
