For the first time ever, Night of the Shorts, our live SF Sketchfest show, is available as a VOD! Watch Mike, Bill, Kevin, and an all-star crew of hilarious guest riffers take on seven classic less-than-educational shorts, filmed LIVE onstage at San Francisco's Castro Theatre in January of this year, in all its gritty, low-light, shakey-cam glory!

Show includes:

Welcome Back Norman
Perc! Pop! Sprinkle! - with Cole Stratton (Pop My Culture Podcast) and Janet Varney (The Legend of Korra)
Choking: To Save a Life - with Kevin McDonald (The Kids in the Hall)
Cooking Terms
More Dangerous Than Dynamite - with Adam Savage (Mythbusters)
If Mirrors Could Speak - with Kristen Schaal (30 Rock, Bob's Burgers, Flight of the Conchords)
At Your Fingertips: Cylinders - with Paul F. Tompkins (Best Week Ever, Mr. Show, Tangled)

We had a blast doing this show with such brilliantly funny folks, and we know you will too. RiffTrax: bringing Sketchfest to your Couchfest. Don't miss it!

*startles* We're working on them...I'm working on one of them as I type this. They are coming. Worry not. Don't hit me!

VERY cool.  Though I'm still waiting for Manos, it's nice to have Norman and Cylinders in some form.

Has anyone watched it yet? How is the audio/video for the actual riffing? The sample only has intros to the guests.

The venue was not setup for live recording so the camera footage from the actual riffing was useless - I took the audio and had to sync it up with the source video of the short. So the actual riffing of the shorts are presented as full screen with the live audio.

We appreciate the effort - I've been hoping for this since the events started happening.

Hope it sells well enough that it's worth doing every year.

Works for me.

Can the venue be set up in advance for next year?

I really can't answer that...I know I've got a presence on the forum but I'm really just the video editor guy. Though, were I to speculate in a purely unofficial capacity, I'd say that the better that this video does the more likely it is that something like that could happen.

Really wasn't expecting this one. And it was the first one in a while that I hesitated a few minutes before buying because I had already seen most if not all of the shorts (which is one of the reasons I'm really happy the August live event will be 'Starship Troopers' instead of 'Twilight') and the description stated something about a shaky camera. Glad I went ahead and got it (and splurged the extra $2 for HD). Haven't watched the entire thing yet, but at the midway point I can say the overall quality is great and despite having seen most if not all of the shorts, the live setting always adds something extra.

Any chance they could get Adam Savage in as a guest riffer for future VODs? Also, hell yeah, this is simply brilliant!   :highfive:

Nice! I was waiting for this. Any chance of getting the earlier years shows too? Were they recorded?
