Going in annoyed, wanting to see something else more and not liking the creative team seems like a fun mood to see a movie in.
I think it let me seethe movie more clearly.

Saw it yesterday, loved it. Had an hour long phone call with my oldest friend to geek out about it.

I want to see the movie at least 3 more times before its theatrical run is over but I don't think that will be a problem.

MartyS (Gromit)

I'm off to see it at 10pm, only crappy seats left for the 9 and 9:30 shows.  Had to choose 3D, the 2D showings stop at 9 for some reason.  So I'll be back around 1AM....  Rest of this week is going to be too busy and I don't want to wait until next week.

Should be interesting, I've not been in the small 60 seat theater at this place before, have no idea how big the screen is going to be.  I actually haven't been to this theater since they put in reclining seats and started reserve seating, so it's all new....

Oddly enough, on the opening night (The 17th) there wasn't a lot of people seated in the movie yet(All assigned seating anyway). It wasn't until about 5 minutes till that the theater was REALLY full. The hardest part about that night was just getting out of the damn theater. People EVERYWHERE in the goddamn hallway and lobby.

I hope they continue to do the whole assigned seating arrangement in the future because it's a hell of a lot more convenient and makes things a lot easier for me.

I don't like assigned seating at all. I stopped attending the local cinemas who use it.

I was opposed to it at first but not having to worry about being stuck with shitty seats is great

I don't like having to sit next to assholes that are going to talk through a movie etc.

That's only a concern if you are going right at the start of a run though.

Isn't this a concern whether the theater has assigned seating or not?  I mean, in general admission seating I guess you could get up and move but you'll probably still hear them talking.  If anything, I think being forced to sit right next to other people would discourage people from being jackasses.  I've gone to the Mockingjay Part 2 Thursday night premiere (also the grand opening of the theater) and two jam packed Star Wars screenings with assigned seating and didn't have any problems at all with the people around me.

The theater I was in the sound was so damn loud it would be hard to hear people talking anyway. Not only that, but as far as I know... nobody was opening their traps at all during the movie. Some movie theaters are also taking a stand. The one I go to that's closest to me actually has a policy where if you disturb anybody in the theater for any reason: talking, cell phone, etc, YOU GO OUT, NO REFUNDS. They repeat this on the screen many times, and to the best of my knowledge that's worked pretty well.

The difference between sitting directly next to an asshole and accross the cinema is pretty huge, in my opinion.

One time I went to the cinema, a guy sat and flipped his key chain through most of the movie, and saying dumb comments to his wife. When my wife asked him to be quiet, he made a point of making a lot more noise.

Would have liked to have not been sat two seats from him.
