From what I've heard it's a conversion.  Anyone manage to get the movie specific 3d glasses?

My son actually got me some of the stormtrooper 3D glasses. Just different shaped 3D glasses as far as I can tell. There was some interesting 3D with ships and whatnot, but I don't remember anything else that really stood out. Probably go 2D next time.

Yeah, I'm kinda proud of that. And totally unintentional at first. I caught it when I proofread it before posting, but liked it enough to keep it. What can I say, I like puns.

For me, it was "alright alright alright" as Mathew Matthew McConaughey would say. I am pleased, I do say. And kudos to Chewbacca for a strong performance, oh and also good to see Admiral Ackbar. And Meun whatever his name is, the other guy. Seriously though I love these practical suits.

I did a more thorough write up in the Spoiler thread. I'd rank it as a bit better than A New Hope, because I think Rey was a better character than Luk4 was in that movie.

I haven't seen it yet, so I'll stay out of that thread (unlikely to till after christmas). I'm just glad you were able to enjoy it.

I said that I wanted it to be good. It was worth seeing, but I think I'd rather have seen Sisters. More interested in a Fey/Poehler comedy than classic JJ schlock.

Because I was annoyed with all the hype and wanted to see it for myself. I still don't think it lived up to all the hype everyone had/has, and if I'd bought into it, I'd be massively disappointed, but it was ok. Worth seeing.

Going in annoyed, wanting to see something else more and not liking the creative team seems like a fun mood to see a movie in.
