Well, I won't make it to comic con, but it would be a dream come true if they could get the rights to put this on DVD.  All I've seen is the preview, and it cracks me up.

I have to imagine that it may not be as hard as you'd think, considering as other posters have said, the rights holders were big fans of the studio track. (Could be an excuse to reissue the film, too.)

Looks like Fandango already has tickets on sale. Rochester is well represented, with two theaters.

Is BIRDEMIC public domain, or are the copyright owners involved?

I honestly don't like the film. Even with the Rifftrax commentary, the movie is too unbearable.

It is all speculation but when the RiffTrax for Birdemic was released Severin (the company that released it) was all over it. They were tweeting about the rifftrax and posting links and loved it.
If only other companies loved such publicity.

Apparently the Belcourt tickets go on sale this Friday too.  Haven't seen any sort of announcement from anyone about that either.

I can only guess that they want full attention to the up-coming Manos riff, and THEN they'll be public about the Birdemic.... but I think a double-bill poster with the two dates would still work to get people equally excited (or more-so)

It's entirely possible that RIfftrax didn't know that the tickets are for sale yet - it's not like it's them selling the tickets, and it only just happened, right?

Well yeah, but you would think that they'd know about the show in general....  The most I've even HEARD of it is this thread here, the article the thread links to in the first post, and I think a vague tweet by someone unrelated to Rifftrax.

LONG before the Manos tickets were even posted as an "eventually for sale" listing, they were spreading the word far and wide about it.  I had to ignore social networking because it was (and still is) basically every other post I see.  Birdemic, however, has been essentially silent.

[edit] In short, I'm still not even entirely convinced it's any more than just a rumour. [/edit]

Okay, so that's apparently all the promotion they're giving it?

I am certain they are going to promote it just as much as Manos once Manos is done. (In fact, I imagine there will be a trailer at Manos).

Never said you didn't - First I continued the Monty conversation, then I responded to the fact that you thought it was just a rumour that the show was happening.
