I am certain they are going to promote it just as much as Manos once Manos is done. (In fact, I imagine there will be a trailer at Manos).

Yeah... like I said:

I can only guess that they want full attention to the up-coming Manos riff, and THEN they'll be public about the Birdemic.... but I think a double-bill poster with the two dates would still work to get people equally excited (or more-so)

I used to listen to that podcast all the time but for some reason I haven't in a while.  That sounds like a great one to come back to.

I'm gonna have class on Thursday nights this fall, but screw it! Missing one night won't kill me. I really want to see this!

I *WILL* still stop off for my Thursday night post-class Wendy's, but there won't be a Wendy's on the way home from the theater, so I'm gonna have to go SEVERAL blocks out of my way to get it! I hope you appreciate what your fans do for you, Rifftrax!

Actually, there is one on the way, now that I think of it. But it'll require me taking one more exit than normal! So, still, A MAJOR EFFORT on my part!

My theater isn't listed on Fandango but it's listed on the Cinemark website, so you might want to check your theater's page if you haven't.

Well, missed out on this one too.  The only reason I found out about it is because a fellow member was awesome and sent me a message the tickets were on sale.  I went to the site, couldn't find anything to indicate they were on sale or sold out, so I called the theater, and they were indeed sold out.  He said they sold out in about 10 minutes.  He also said there won't be anymore.  I remember for the last show Rifftrax said some tickets were going to get released closer to the show.  Well, I checked every day for what, over a month or two?  That never happened.  If it did, they went instantly.  So I'm not going to hold my breath for this one. 

So now I am seriously pissed off.  Come on Rifftrax!  It's clear you've got a dedicated fanbase.  Your live shows sell out almost instantly.  You've got a lot of people like me who are willing to travel and skip a day or two of work just to come see you.  So how about spreading the damn love and do a tour or something?  Nothing big, just some of the major cities.  I was totally set on going to the show in October, but I didn't happen to be on the computer in the right 10-20 minute time frame.  Or how about doing two shows that day?  I know the point is the live broadcast, but maybe you could do a warm-up show, or an encore show, which would double the ticket sales! 

I guess now I know why they don't bother to send out emails letting us know when the live tickets are going to go on sale (which some of us asked if they could please do last time).  But it would still be helpful and at the very least give every one who wants to go a shot at getting tickets.  Kind of like how if you're on the email list for Ticketmaster you get a list of all of the upcoming concerts, along with the day and time the tickets are going on sale.  Had that gone out, I could have at least had a shot, as would everybody else. 

Just extremely frustrated.

Well, I gave in and got my ticket today for Bristol VA, over 130 mile round trip
