Loved it to death. Better than the first. Ultron made for a fun and charismatic villain, I thought. It did a better job than the first movie at selling Hawkeye as an Avenger.

Yep, I love theaters for the same reason

It was the crappiest movie I ever saw! What a piece of shite!

I'm ashamed of Joss Whedon for being a part of that; one of the most horrific pieces of filth I ever saw recorded on digital video. OH! By all the GODS above and below, if only my ears and eyes had never been struck by such toxic filth!

Oh, wait... I haven't see it yet... Age of Ultron? No. Haven't seen it.

What were we talking about?

I really hope the first shot of Avengers 3 starts with Captain America saying "Assemble!"

I thought that's what the post credits scene would be.

Half a billion and change. Not bad. :^)

Yep, it beat "The Dark Knight". I think DC better get used to getting a regular summer ass-kicking.

Hell, it beat The Dark Knight as an early release IN EUROPE!!

I did the 24 Hour Best Picture Marathon at AMC one year, and I was pretty far gone by the end of that (and it actually clocked out at 23 hours, but the breaks were shorter). Dunno if I could last the full 28. Certainly not when it ends on a movie I hadn't seen before, since I kinda wanna focus on it.

As for AoU itself, I liked it. It was missing a lot of the amazing action beats that make the first one such a great summer Blockbuster, and while I liked Ultron (Spader totally killed it) his actual character didn't seem nearly as menacing or creepy as he probably should've been, but it still had a lot going for it. Visually it was a big step up, in that it didn't look like an expensive TV movie, and there was a lot of wonderful character moments. In fact, most of the heavy character stuff came from folks who weren't Iron Man, Thor, or Captain America, which was great. Loved seeing the folks without their own individual movies getting their due. I also liked how the series is doing a much better job latching onto the crazier, more comic-booky aspects of things, particularly in the finale. I mean, that was all wonderfully bonkers, summed up by Hawkeye's perfect assessment of the situation (they definitely made up for him lacking in previous movies here). The many different subplots/setting-up-the-sequel-still stuff got a bit too busy, but it was never as bad as Iron Man 2, and it was good to see these guys finally make some sort of verbal acknowledgement of the Infinity Stones and what's coming from that.

Also, loved The Vision. Didn't even know who that character was before this movie, and now I want a lot more.

All in all, a very solid middle entry to this series. Some stuff it does better than the predecessor, other stuff it does not.

Finally saw it this morning after we dropped the kids off at school.  Definitely enjoyed it, but I want to watch it again in 2D next time because there were a few scenes where it was all blurry & couldn't see what was going on at the beginning.  The 3D was the only one playing at 11am. (If we hit the first 2D show later on we would've been late picking up the kids from school)

Favorite part was when the dude behind us LOST HIS MIND & started yelling "OH S***!!!! OH S***!!! HOLY F***!!!!" when .   :D
He also was super surprised and upset when .

And they all start building models.  Surprisingly, Tony Stark is not very good at it.  Not used to working with glue.

Ugh. Was supposed to see it tonight, but found out it was dubbed rather than subtitled.  Decided to leave.  Hopefully, I'll be able to watch it in English sometime soon.
