Someone at work had one of those, darn thing created it's own little partition to hide out, so even if you format C: and reinstall it comes back to life...  What you need to do is boot on a read only disk that can repartition the drive and remove all partitions, then you should have a clean drive to start over reinstalling the OS.

For now we're just using the other computer we had put aside. Most of our stuff was backed up on our external and was unaffected. Want to upgrade to a bigger hard drive in the down computer anyway. Just have to wait and save up.
