I learned that Shockwave has a huge ass mechanical Arrakis sandworm as a pet. This must have been an upgrade since the Shockwave I owned as a kid, that I didn't know about. That one turned into a gun and made cool beeping noises. At least it did until some neighbor kid broke it.

Still, I have to admit, Shockwave is one of the few Tranformers in these movies that is actually recognizable in his robot form, what with the one eye and a gun for an arm.

I think you are thinking of Megatron; Shockwave was a boombox.

I learned that a movie can be made that was worse than Transformers 2. The first 2/3rds was the worst piece of crap I've ever sat through. At least the last 1/3rd insulted my intelligence and humanity is ways that I expected it to.

Prince of Space 5049

I think one of the reasons I loved this one so much is because of watching "Half in the Bag" episodes.  The riff was like a mixing of both Rifftrax and HITB.  Just in the way the guys kept pointing out the absolute offensiveness of this bag of sh*t!  HITB now has me looking at modern bad movies in a whole new way.  I giggled with glee the whole way through.

I learned that a guy named ''Dutch'' would obviously be speaking GERMAN.

Well, I don't know. If that's an intentional play on the fact that the word for German, in German, is Deutsch, then that's actually marginally clever. Hence the misnomer "Pennsylvania Dutch", who are actually of German decent, not Dutch.

That didn't even occur to me until you brought it up.
Hmm, I guess. I'm Dutch myself, that's why it struck me as odd that somebody named ''Dutch'' would say ''Danke Schon'' and talk with such an obvious German accent.

Is Michael Bay that clever?  ;D Maybe I should give him more credit.

You're thinking of Soundwave as the boombox. Shockwave became a gun as well.

But back on topic, I learned that racecars covered in sponsorships and decked out with multiple machine guns is the perfect disguise.

I learned that the 'wait til everyone's dying then show up' plan is the best tactical movement.

I learned that hundreds of robots coming out of a massive portal to enslave the world will still have the need to disguise themselves. (like Mr. Dump Truck)

I learned that children will allow dangerous robots that have been linked to the almost-destruction of the world twice, so long as they're pink.

I learned the Sea of Tranquility is  close to the Dark Side of the Moon...  in this movie...somehow.
And I'm worse than Hitler.

Trekker4747

I learned that if the city I live in is being taken over by deadly stores-tall robots and crap is going down and being blown up, apparently, I'll still be required to come into work.

exactly.

(facepalm) Okay, there's an Oscar winning actress, John Malkovich, John Tuturro, Spock and one of the12 people who walked on the frigging moon in this film, and the casting bit that astounds you is the guy who played "Steve the Pirate" is in this? Really?

Especially since it doesn't really apply in the context it was said.

I learned that 25 years was enough time to wait before shamelessly trying to reference a tragedy in your shitty robot movie.

I think it's worth mentioning that this is in fact the second time Nimoy has been cast as a villain in a Transformers movie. He also did the voice of Galvatron in the original animated movie. It's amazing to me that he managed to land a Transformers role even more embarrassing than that.

Still, it's not as embarrassing as Orson Wells playing Unicron, and having that be the last role he ever played. :'(

Actually, (and I'm not saying this to be a jerk) depending on the time of month, the Sea Of Tranquility is often close to the dark side, or even in the dark side of the moon.  I haven't seen the movie yet, so I have to ask:  do you mean the far side?
