Just got back from seeing it again. First time in 2D, so this time, we went and did 3D. Effects were cool, but it's a shame to have such wonderful colors dimmed. Also, I had a gift card to this one local theater.  The crowd was less enthusiastic and the sound system was... well... lemme say my home theater sounds better. Needless to say, I'll be seeing "Brave" in 2D at a different theater.

Props to the guy behind me for

My husband said it best (on Facebook), "Tom Hiddleston is America's newest sweetheart."

Estimates at $103 million for the 2nd weekend, totally shattering the previous week 2 record holder, which was in the 70's.

...what does that have to do with anything?

Finally saw it yesterday, and still can't think of a single small even negligibly bad thing to say about it. Completely blew away my expectations.

I do have one question.

This thing just pulled in $103 million for its SECOND WEEKEND!
It not only has the biggest opening weekend of all time, but it also has the biggest 2nd weekend of all time. (Beating Avatar by a good $25 million).

Its already surpassed a billion dollars worldwide.

Riffman for Hire

I saw The Avengers the other week and frankly I can't understand all the hype.  I thought it was a mediocre, overlong film with some big story problems.  Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk was the best part.  Other than that, meh, it wasn't that good.

Yikes. Bit extreme there, Bob.

Really... if you're that angry, maybe just call him a "mewling quim"* and move on.
