Finally available, the Iron Man to go with the other Avengers action figures.  $189 plus shipping.

The face sculpt on this isn't as good as Loki and Thor and Cap were.  Doesn't really look much like Downey.  LED lit repulsors on chest and hand, though.

Oh my god. I just choked a little laughing so hard at that.

My brother-in-law posted some pictures this morning of a place they visited in the Philippines with Marvel and DC statues around. Here's a picture of my father-in-law and my two nieces with the Filipino "Iron Man":

Side note (and believe me I am the last person to side with that fucking nutbag for any reason), but I've heard "good night" used as an expression in my family. It's supposed to be said like, "good grief!" I don't know why or how it became "good night", but my mother's grandmother is from Delaware so maybe it's a common saying there.
I've heard it used as well:

Skeet Ulrich?

My wife's only complaint was the lack of back story on Hawkeye. And that they kinda skimmed over

She also mentioned that "there sure is a lot of shots of Black Widow's ass in this movie".  Not that it was a bad thing. Just that it was a prevalent plot point.  :D

That's a pretty cool Iron, Man!

Do people notice butt-shots of the males?  (or crotch shots?  chest [pec] shots?)  I don't... because I'm not looking for them.  I wonder if anyone has [yet; it's the internet, someone will get around to it at some point] counted the 'gratuitous anatomy' shots for males and females in The Avengers and compared the numbers.  I suspect it may be because we are conditioned to LOOK for ass-shots of women that we notice them more (and, for the guys, because we happen to look there anyway if it is 'aimed' at us).

Captain America and Thor had a lot of peck and bicept shots.

Yeah... no scene like that with the Widow, to my recollection.  ;)

I do really like the scene, though.  It still makes me laugh.

It's a bit late, but here's some things people might find of interest, though I expect many already are aware of these.

Here's the first time the Avengers 'assembled' to fight Loki.  He was the baddie that brought them together in the first issue of the Avengers, of which this is the cover.

A few pages back, someone asked who the Skrulls were.  I dug around in my 'e-comics' and here is the first appearance of the Skrulls in an Avengers comic.  Issue #93, page 23.  (The only way you may see that it is an Avengers issue instead of a Captain Marvel issue is the tiny little insert picture and voice balloon in the lower right.)

I'm still waiting for one of these superhero movies to have a poster identical to a classic comic cover.
