Wow, Cardinals bullpen just seriously imploded.

After doing nothing all game, Phillies got a 45 minute top of the 8th, score 9 off 5 different pitchers with 4? singles, loads of walks and 2 hit....

Really hope Polanco is OK, looked like the pitch hit the back of his hand or his wrist.

As the announcers say it, "he was hit in the upper thigh".

That's pretty much what it's like watching the Dodgers bullpen just about every game.  >:(

Seems like Roy Oswalt is going to be out for a while again.  At least I hope they keep him out until he is fully healed this time, he hasn't been right since coming of the DL, sounds like his back is really messed up.

Cliff Lee pinch hitting again (2nd or 3rd time this season), after throwing a complete game shutout yesterday, gotta love that.... ;D

Every time I catch him on the tube, the announcers are always going on and on about what an phenomenal athlete he is. I've seen him make some great plays coming off the mound.

So Jim Riggleman, manager of the Nationals finds out that the option on his 2012 contract was declined by the team, meaning they are unsure they want to keep him.   He then says, "frak you" and quits.   Good for him.

The fact that the Nationals GM then goes on TV and starts crying over how "he put his personal goals ahead of the team" and other such crap.   Face it, you were squeezing him and he was secure enough to say shove it.

I don't know if it's the same as in Baseball, but form is everything in Football and the Nationals really seemed to have picked up recently.  I wonder how it will affect the team.

Sometimes adversity brings out the "us against the world" mentality in the players and it works well.

Sometimes, not so well!

Oh Dodgers, you're so awful. The cutaway shots of the dugout look like the front row at a funeral. This is getting grim.

I just saw a replay of a play yesterway where someone from the Pirates was running to first to beat out a hit, he pulled a hip muscle or something and went down like he was shot with a deer rifle.   Then he gets CARTED off the field.

NHL players all just threw up in their mouths a bit.

...and then McCourt files for bankruptcy protection. I hope he keeps fighting, and a bankruptcy judge eventually auctions the Dodgers off w/o any approval by Selig. Mark Cuban, here's your one-and-only chance of becoming an MLB owner!

I believe Jim Riggleman forgot he was just that, Jim Riggleman.

Nothing affects a team more so than the starting pitcher they'll be facing next.

Interleague play's almost over, and we're taking a three-game lead into the Bronx. I cannot wait until 6pm tonight.

I'd love for Cuban to jet into town all swaggery like and throw a ton of money at the team. Here's hoping.

Totally, Barnes.

He'd be such a breath of fresh air amongst the owners in MLB. When the Cubs were up for sale, he was serious about buying them, but the likelihood of being approved by the owners was slim-to-none. That's the caveat of this entire situation if I was a Dodger-fan, w/ a possible auction looming, Cuban has to be over  this. There isn't anything Selig or the owners can do about it, and it would definitely shake up the gentleman's club.

MLB needs the Dodgers, and it's a shame what the McCourts have done w/ them.

On the other hand, Grienke just went two innings while giving up 7. Rough night.   :)

I was worried the Red Sox would tee off on Worley tonight, but the rookie pitched a hell of a game....

Hamels goes for the sweep tomorrow afternoon.
