I'm confused about two things.

1) Where did the general get that scroll which told him the location of the Moon and Water spirits?

2) Why was the Firelord's son trying to capture the Avatar?

I feel these things were not sufficiently explained in the movie, and I have never been this confused since Hawk/Hawks lost an arm wrestling match but still continued in the tournament in Over the Top.

If you weren't paying attention, you may have missed it, but there's a scene with Iroh and Zuko when they're in hiding, the one where Iroh talks about Zuko finding himself a pretty girl, where they had a kid explain why Zuko must find the avatar. Basically Zuko is a disgrace to his father and if he was to bring him the avatar he'd be a hero because the Avatar is a threat to the Fire Nation's absolute dominance.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Darth Geek

1) He pulled it out of his ass. Which is where M.Night got everything else in this movie.

2) It was the last item on the scavenger hunt list.

Tony Farms AKA Puma Man

3) In both the cartoon and the movie, Appa appears to lack any genitalia.  Kind of like Andre the Giant did.

I have no idea! Through the whole movie, I was like "wait, where the hell did he get that scroll?!" Crazy that it's not mention at least three times.

It's the scroll that disappeared from Robert Forster's hands in Dragon Wars: D-War when he was telling the kid about his destiny in the antique shop flashback....
