In an interview at Comic-Con 2010, Tommy Wiseau said that he was going to convert The Room to 3D next year:

Wow.....that rear-projected scene of the city behind them on the rooftop (or however they did it) will seem even flatter and less realistic!!!!

As will Wiseau himself!

Actually, I think Wiseau will be even lumpier in 3D.  :P
