What song are you listening to right this minute?

[THE QUEEN!!!]

What song is on your iPod, radio, 8-track tape, or playing over the loud speaker at work right this minute?
Or what's running through your head?

As I went to start this thread my iPod started to play something from my childhood, and every portion of this is more obscure than the last: Michael Feinstein singing "The Dressing Song" (from the 5000 Fingers of Dr T, originally sung by Hans Conreid) from his album "Pure Imagination."

(f you understood any of that you get a gold star)

Nothing right now, but let me hit random on my MP3 player and see what pops up:

Alright, let's pick another random song:

"Head Over Feet" by Alanis Morrisette

Spoiler

I have two stories about this song.

I saw Alanis in concert on the Jagged Little Pill tour back in 95, right at the beginning of the tour, just after You Oughta Know broke nationwide as a huge hit single.  I was in the second row center for the concert.  And when she sang this song, she looked at me several times.  We locked eyes.  It was a very special moment.

Also, I chose this song as a special dedication during a VH1 Classic Valentine's Day special several years ago.  My dedication was picked, and Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart (who hosted the show) read my request.  Which was pretty awesome.

[THE QUEEN!!!]

Then I get to go again:
"Betrayed" from The Producers (the musical). one of my favs from that actually. Nathan Lane rocks. "Guten tag hop clop, guten tag hop clop, Adolph Elizabeth Hitler?"

Go West - Faithful

This was a favorite of mine in high school. Great Mid-90's radio!!

I have the theme to Firefly playing in my head at the mo.

I'll find something to drown it out presently.

Ok then, let's do some more random Zune s$#@!

"Spanish Eyes" by Tiffany.

Well, this is a bit embarrassing.  But who cares!  Yes, I have Tiffany's debut album on my Zune.     Besides, wasn't she in some sort of fish movie that is all the rage right now.  (I saw a clip on The Soup.)

Shockingly there is a clip on Youtube.

Spoiler

I love the '80s.

Let's try this again:

"In Demand" by Texas

Fantastic song with a great video. I've already declared my infatuation with Sharleen Spiteri in another thread (whatever happened to that Celebrity Crush list of crap?)

Only the best cover ever of "This Year".

Califone- Bottles and Bones. When I heard it was going to be in Stranger Than Fiction, I got excited. They only used the opening though.
