Redbox is having an April special now too.  If you rent 3 movies in April you get a free rental in May.

I'm still wondering if this will end up being a Trax that will be tied (sync-wise) to an out-of-print DVD come this November....

Then again, this Earth Day Edition could be a penny on Amazon Marketplace from then on....

As long as progressive means "completely unoriginal and devoid of depth" and the high praise heaped upon the work is entirely based upon it being nice to look at.  In this sense, Megan Fox is a progressive actress, and The Hills was the most important television show of the last 10 years.  It is truly a bold, experimental piece of work, keeping in mind that crystal meth and fat substitute Olestra (which brought the phrase "anal leakage" into our lexicon) were also the results of experimentation.

And in that same sense Slumdog Milliionare is progressive. I hope you die if you disagree, Slumdog has the same generic plot and character flaws.

Actually, if this is an example of the vitriol that will be in the final product, then I might just skip it.  I don't want to spend $4 to listen to 3 guys with anger issues unleash on a movie I'm probably going to find boring anyway.

I dislike the unreleased product as well.

...and I don't wanna talk to a Rifftrax moderator.....ya'll jerks lyin' and getting me pissed.

Just doing my Civic Duty for the RiffTrax forum 8)

Cause AIN'T NOONE GONNA TELL ME WHEN A CAN RENT A NEW RELEASE!!!

Avatar was a given. You just knew they were going to riff it. Its not that I'm saying they shouldn't riff it. Its just that any movie that 'claims' its "the best movie ever" (or whatever the tag line is) in the tv commercials, is just begging these guys to riff on it.

Looking forward to it. Hope the guys do a good job on this new release.

I'd love to know if any of the guys actually really liked the movie (God forbid somebody not be a part of the backlash tsunami).

But, but . . . backlash tsunamis are FUN!

Doctor Who?

Ok i will be the one to say it,I don't think Avatar is really a bad movie.  There are a lot of worse movies released each year.  I enjoyed every minute of it,I loved the world it created even though I knew it was ripped off of other things, and I know the plot had it's flimsy moments but it held together pretty well and the action was some of the most fun i have seen so I enjoyed it.  It was not a great movie but i found it to be a good movie and nowhere near as awful as some people make out.  i hope the riff is them making jokes about the goofy moments and not them just saying "This movie suck","Too much CGI",and "This isn't the greatest movie of all time".  I hope they are just making a fun movie more fun not just cursing at the screen like they did with Episode 1.

*Ducks for cover* ;)

Pak-Man

That's the boat I'm in, pretty much. Didn't hate it, but didn't see why it created the fuss it did. Just went in, saw a movie, enjoyed it, and didn't hate it. It's like frozen pizza. There's way better stuff out there, but it's far from awful. :^)

The theatrical versions of LotR are still in stores, despite the Extended versions' existence. Same with Watchmen, Punisher, Daredevil, Elektra, Kingdom of Heaven, and every other DC'd title I could think of. Some folks (probably the majority of them) just don't care about the extras.

That's nothing to brag about.

Pshaw. I've got much, much worse films in my collection.  Those two don't even register mild embarrassment from me.

people want to own this movie? ???

Something I ask myself every time I see a copy of Armageddon.....especially the Criterion one.

Ahem.

That's nothing to brag about.

Hey! Be nice. Compound no doubt sold a LOT of copies of Grit to get those.
