Hey, uh...is anyone on here rich enough to make a cable television network?  Because this really does need to happen.  Not only is there enough cartoon/live action series throughout the last forty years, dating back to those horrible-yet-somehow-good 1960s adaptations, but there is also room for original programming:  review shows, Marvel and DC could make their direct to DVD movies for the channel, independent books could have a series and get some exposure, that sort of thing.  I'd get cable for something like this.

I mean, hell, G4 is still in business and all it does now is show Attack of the Show and Bruce Lee movies.

Oh, and they can show old serials.  Plus the majority of anime is based on manga so in the off chance there are voids, it can easily be filled (and if it must, go with classics like Astro Boy and Captain Harlock).

I'm actually surprised there isn't an Anime channel.  I'm not that into it myself, but it has a big enough following...I guess because most people who would watch a manga/anime channel probably already have the DVDs.

There's the Anime Network, but it's premium programming through most providers.

Ah...most anime fans can't afford premium programming in their parent's basements.   ;)

I just realized that Chris Evans played Jensen in The Losers. He just got, like, a thousand more awesome points from me. I do not fear for him as The Cap anymore.

Isn't he also one of the evil ex-boyfriends in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World? I'm looking forward to that one.

Yes he is. The guy likes his comic book movies, it seems.

I stand by Chris Evans.  In this thread, I pointed out that he was an annoying douche in Fantastic Four, but it works because The Human Torch is supposed to be an annoying douche.  Most people point out that even though the movie sucked, the two bright things in it were the Human Torch and the Thing's costume

I've always felt he carried the FF movies on his back, also he's great in Sunshine and was really fun in Cellular.  Much like James Marsden I've been waiting for him to become a huge star for a few years now  :)

Captain America's film costume:

I like it.  YOu can tell it's Captain America, and instead of a costume change halfway through the movie (which would ahve been necessitated if the film is split between WWII and today), it brings together elements of both.  My only complaint is that the shoulder/chest area look too much like football pads, and the headpiece looks wierd, though I chalk that up to the nature of the costume.  The helmet/cowl thing could be fixed with one simple solution:  chin strap!  Commit to a helmet or a cowl, don't waffle between the two (advice I will give my son on his wedding day).

And though I'm loathe to link to it, this came from AICN:  http://www.aintitcool.com/node/45326

Isn't that similar to the Ultimate version of Cap?

Doesn't matter, it looks pretty cool.  I'm hoping in the WWII sequences, he has his original shield though.

Them's good Hitler-punching clothes.

"Hitler-Punching Clothes" should be the new line of summer wear from Lands End.

Well the shield that we saw in Iron Man 2 was round so i don't think we will see the original, sadly.

Costume looks great.

Both costumes kick so much ass. One can only hope the Green Lantern's costume is as awesome.

I was a little worried when they said they were changing the Cap suit, but I love that costume. I hope it looks as bad ass when Chris Evans actually wears it.

I can't wait to see the first in costume cast pic from The Avengers now.
