Cats and Dogs 2: The revenge of Kitty Galore

Anyone remember Cats and Dogs? A rather naff movie from 2001 in which  cats and dogs can secretly talk, hold gadgets in their hand, and battled each other to rule the world? 

Well, almost ten years later, we get the sequel no one asked for.
Astoundingly, it looks just as bad as the first one did. Not just in the lame jokes, (Stoned cats? The LOLcat jokes can't be far behind.) but the CGI animals don't look any better than the ones from the last film, which came out in 2001!

Sigh... these people really need to watch Up. Now THAT'S how you do talking animals without it being cringeworthy.

edit: Chris O'Donnel is in this? Anyone think Chris's career is Karma for not letting anyone else read the script and audition for Scent of a Woman back on the set of....whatever movie he made with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon?

Yeah, I liked the first one, too. Silly but still enjoyable. It was on my Guilty Pleasures list. I just wish the Dogs had been the bad guys instead of the Cats. I'm more a cat person myself.
While the first one was just this side of too stupid, I have a bad feeling that this new one will be far more stupid.

Actually, now that i think about it, is it possible that the hiring of Chris O'Donnel is the filmmakers'  subliminal hint at how bad this is going to be. Like a warning sticker or something.

It would have also been out of the ordinary, Cats are generally the bastards in things, it would have been interesting to see them as something oyhter than that.
