Once the Battlefield Earth child board is created, please move this as you see fit.

I have never seen BE before. So I was reading some of the comments on IMDB and I found this "breakdown" to be most amusing:

I wonder how many rented dvd's are going to be in pristine condition for the first time their ever used?

Here's my quote from another post:

So I went into Blockbuster tonight to rent a copy of B.E. and they had not 1 but 2 copies of it!

I approach the counter and the nice girl says: "Battlefield Earth...oh yeah, I liked that one" (and she was serious). Then as she is handing the movie to me she says: "Yeah, it was not that well liked and it got terrible reviews, but I thought it was good!"
I just stared directly at her and with a strait face I said: "Thank you" and I walked out.

A couple of interesting points:
1)Whatever information this Exeter possesses should be in our labs and textbooks
2)This copy of B.E that I rented has _never_ been used before; not a scratch on it
3)An able assistant named Joe Wilson can continue with certain experiments while I'm away
4)Right next to B.E., on the shelf, was none other then BloodRayne :)

Interestingly enough, the copy I got from the library had smudges on the disc. Maybe the original owner did this as a precautionary measure to prevent anyone from ever watching the DVD again.
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

whats the point of puting spoiler warnings on a movie whose plot is pointless no one is gonna care one way or the other.

Do you live near Hollywood? or is there a giant Scientology church in your city? ;)

See? Former renters and owners of the film are taking out their anger on the DVD. ;D

No I do not but I imagine that some one rented it, watched it, let there dog lick it, lose it in the crack of the couch, find it days later and pick it up by sticking it to a spoon that has peanut butter on it, then returning it.

That's how bad it was.

Politics.

Trust me, someone would be mad that I spoiled it for them.

My highly valuable Battlefield Earth collectors glasses from Pizza Hut betray your grim analysis of the film.

I don't get it...

Those spoilers have the film 20 minutes longer than my beloved copy.

It might have to do with the fact that the DVD release has scenes cut from the theatrical version.

If they were smart, they would have cut 100 percent of the film  ;D
