TTYT

They could use Hugo Strange, if they combined elements of the "Prey" and "Terror" story arcs from the comics. I would love to see Strange show up in the movies.

Russell

Why not the daughter of Ra's Al Ghul as the villain? Not only is that the most realistic possibility because there's no need to bring up the lazarus pits or anything, but she could easily be as deep and as kick-ass a bad guy as her father.

TTYT

As long as she's as sexy as she is in the comics, I'd go for that. She is mentioned in Ra's character bio in the Begins DVD special features.

.

Draw your own conclusions.

Wow! You are just so right!!  :o Thing is, would Joseph Gordon Levitt want to mimic Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker because I don't think there's a whole lot of room to develop the character on his own.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

The make-up would obscure the little differences enough.

As far as the character....Gordon Levitt might have some room because going through the system and his time in Arkham might have had their effects on The Joker....  Made him meaner, maybe?  Or more focused?

I guess his work in GI Joe as Cobra Commander could be a good basis. He did play the character with a hint of psychotic madness that he could bring over to the Joker, not saying that Heath's Joker wasn't menacing though. I'm just saying that Mr. Gordon-Levitt has shown he can play a Heath-like Joker.

They' might have to wait until a fourth movie, though.  Or I can see hoards of fanboys doing the "Frankenstein villagers-with-torches" thing about it.

Well, if they do bring the Joker back, they could just alter his personality a little so not to trample on Ledger's domain - Like, maybe he has his hair up in the classic way of the comics instead of all over the place, and he keeps his makeup all neat and clean this time. He could still be menacing, but now a little more insane, a little more prone to crack jokes, etc...  I mean, c'mon, it's the Joker. He's Mr. Chaos! Leave it to him to do something completely unexpected like show up acting almost sane!

And I still say if they do continue with the Joker, Mark Hamill should play him. He's already got facial scars as it is.

That, or Robin Williams (who's a big graphics novel fan, surprisingly), channeling his Insomnia & One Hour Photo creepiness.

I couldn't see him as the Joker, but I could definately see him as The Riddler.
I like artificial grape flavor, but I hate real grapes.  A paradox!?

Something that just popped in my head: I'd love to see the Joker with a green beard. Not in a movie, especially since Ledger's Joker clearly has dyed hair, but it's just something I've never seen and I think it would look cool. Just picture, say, Brian Bolland's Joker with a pointy green vandyke.

You want to see the Joker marry Poison Ivy?

Check other definitions of 'beard'.

Can my joke work too? Is that ok?

In all honesty, I hope it's not any of the villains we've seen in the previous movies. I like the idea of using lesser-known villains. I'd really like to see Black Mask show up in the Nolan movies. He'd fit perfectly with that universe.
