Reviews for just about all the riffed movies are available, and maybe I'll eventually link to them.  This one, though, stood out for some of Roeper's opening remarks.  Particularly... "a nice cast we can root for...."

I'm not saying Cloverfield was a bad movie.  They went overboard on the shaky cam, though.  What I'm saying is that the characters were all detestable, douchey idiots.

I'll take douchy idiots over annoying kids in upsetting shorts and useless psychic chicks any day. The shakycam is what sinks it for me. I came to the movies to SEE something, for crying out loud!

I still like the idea of doing a "sequel" that takes place the same time, following the military and with no shakycam.
