Yeah I don't understand why people have such difficulty with this.

These are the only constants in the depiction of Medusa:

1) Female Gender
2) Orphidian Tresses
3) Ossifying Gaze

Any other details, whatever they may be, are not "wrong" because there is no "right" except those three facets (though I'm sure there could be some queer theory version floating around out there problematizing the first of them ).

And wow the sync on the "History" Channel vid is off.

Nobody is forgetting anything, Medusa has been shown in varying ways for centuries, both beautiful as well as ugly.

Personally....I think it's nice looking.  Kind of a nod to Harryhausen's design...although ironic that in the 80s she could be topless and now.....

She's in this trailer a little bit.  The biggest reveal in this one is of the Kraken at the end (so you know before you watch).

My first thought - "What if the Rancor from Return of the Jedi and the monster from Cloverfield had a spawn.  That and he's ENORMOUS!!  He'll never fit in the same shot with the humans.
