Top 10 Films I Want to see Riffed are;

10 - Elmo in Grouchland (1999)
9 - The Cable Guy (1996)
8 - Hannibal (2001)
7 - The Village (2004)

5 - The Wizard of Oz (1939)
4 - Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)

And the one film I would give my right arm to see a RiffTrax of is...

1 - HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL  :grr:

If I could see that move as a RiffTrax before I die of over-using emoticons, I would die a happy man
:) ;) :D ;D >:( :( :o 8) ::) ??? :P :-X :-[ :- :-* >:D :'( :spammer: :angry: :grr: :clap: :gouge: :scared: :rimshot: :speechless: :clap: :grr:

I want to see more movies that I actually own, riffed.  Of course, all the movies I own I love to death, so I'm torn between my love of Mike ripping a new one for cinema, and my love of my movies themselves.... Oh well.

1) Jurassic Park
2) Superman Returns
3) Star Wars Episode III
4)The Abyss
5) Aliens
6) War of the Worlds, 2005 version
7) Any of the Back to the Future movies
8 ) Any of the Harry Potter movies
9) The Hunt for the Red October
And of course ---
10) Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie (now don't tell me that wouldn't be a total mind-f*ck of an experience!!!)  :gouge:

My dream 10:

10) Silent Hill : Let's take this video game, take out the creepy, and make it a bit confusing for people. Oh and add a lesbian cop and child torture with fire. And barbwire...lots and lots of barbwire

9) E.T. The Extra Terrestrial : Come on, I know this film is much loved...and I love it myself, but the possibilities are ENDLESS! Especially with the new 2002 tweaked edition of the film. They made E.T. go from cute to creepy!

8) Waterworld: It has it coming....seriously it does.

7) Titanic: It so has it coming

6) Friday the 13th: I am so surprised they have not attempted this one yet. It is soooooo riffable!!!

5) Pocahontas: Out of all of Disney's movies...I dispise this one the most. I call it "Disney Rapes History"

4) Jurassic Park: For obvious reasons of course.....

3) The Last Dragon : The Shogun of Harlem needs to be bitchslapped by Mike

2) The Goonies: I think it would be sweet if they can get someone from the movie to join them in the riffing

and my #1 choice for a film that needs to be riffed is....

XANADU!!!!
A Roller Skating Olivia Newton John, Gene Kelly, and that dude from the Warriors ruining his career while rejects from Studio 54 dance around and stuff? Plus it's coming to Broadway as a Broadway show in June. DO THIS ONE PLEASE!!!

Um....that's all I have to say.....yeah.....ok bye

Keeping in mind many of these don't exactly speak positively or negatively on the quality of the movie (In fact, I absolutely love my number one pick).

10)  Firehouse Dog:  I try not to pick on the horrible family films usually, but after hearing the belabored and impenetrable premise on the Podcast "I Love Movies"  (at the almost dead handheldcomedy.com and listen to the second to last and last episodes) this seems like it might be tempting.  And I believe the director actually did some good films too.

9)  Jack Frost:  I'm speaking of the 1979 TV special.  Nestor is the one I remember most from my childhood because it was so depressing, but I want Mike to do even more Rankin Bass specials and this is the other one I grew up with.

8)  The Running Man:  Sure, Arnold is an easy target, but this very dumb action movie is essentially a collection of very silly villains and dumb one liners.  perfect for riffing.

7)  Barb Wire:  And not just because it hurt MST3k but also because it's Pamela Anderson in a Mad Max remake of Casablanca.  I repeat to make my point heard: It's Pamela Anderson in a Mad Max remake of Casablanca.  Dammit, film industry, leave that movie alone.  It's done nothing to you, save maybe inspiring your hopes and dreams.

6) Days of Thunder:  Tom Cruise, Jerry Bruckheimer.  Or was it Michael Bay.  Sorry, those two are interchangeable to me.  But you get my point.

5)  Day of the Dead:  Arguably the worst of the Dead movies isn't so bad but it's quite riffable.  In fact, is there any monster more riffable than a zombie?

4) The Who's Tommy:  This or any rock opera needs Kevin Murphy's vocals.  It's just so crazy and over the top, it deserves it, like most rock operas.  In fact, most rock opera's deserve the RiffTrax treatment.

3)  The Hollow Man:  This is pretty much just because Mike hasn't done a Kevin Bacon movie yet and this is just another bad forgettable Bacon movie.

2)  Hackers:  I love it when a movie is based entirely around something that the creators know so little about.  Hackers are not this cool.  In fact, these guys are not this cool.

1) Sin City:  I love this movie a lot, but it's so stylized, over-the-top and crazy, that it is very riffable.  Though it is intentionally over the top, it's not asking for it like Snakes on a Plane (or, as it's called in Japan, Snake Flight) did with it's advertising campaign of "Watch our silly movie".  Sin City is cool and crazy, but it's so cool that it comes back around to being silly... or maybe it's so silly that it comes back around to being cool.  Deep.

1) Jurassic Park

I think the craptacular Lost World would be a better choice. JPIII knew it was post-shark-jump, so Riffing it is kind of irrelevant.

2) Superman Returns

As much as I liked this movie, I can definitely see riffing potential there.

3) Star Wars Episode III

Personally, I thought they should have Riffed Episode III before Episode II; it's that awful.

Quote from: Invader Jenny on April 30, 2007, 09:58:00 AM
5) Aliens

This one might be a challenge; the film's pacing is so tight (one of the reasons it endures, I expect) that a good Riff might be hard.

10) Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie (now don't tell me that wouldn't be a total mind-f*ck of an experience!!!)  :gouge:

It's been discussed round these parts. The big problem there is availability (the DVD is ever so out-of-print).

I'd prefer a straight commentary for MST3K TM.

Not a bad idea, especially given how much outside studio interference shaped the final film.

trilation

10 - Showgirls (just a classic good-bad movie that MUST be riffed at some point - no brainer)
9 - Catwoman (Sharon Stone as the dueling indestructible cosmetics magnate alone should put this on anyone's list)
8 - Snakes on a Plane (sort of obvious - again - but it demands to be riffed)
7 - From Justin to Kelly (one of the most awful abyssmal movies ever crapped out of hollywood)
6 - Volcano (a steaming fun-fest of heche-tastic goodness with a gooey tommy lee jones inner nouget center)
5 - Enough (la j.lo at her lifetime-movie-as-major-motion-picture worst-ness... she needs to be 'honored' with some solid riffing)
4 - Independence Day (again - a classic demands-to-be-riffed crapstravaganza)
3 - The Wizard of Oz (just a truly classic film with some great goofiness that mike and his cohorts could gleefully slaughter)
2 - Boat Trip (a mind curdlingly wretched pile of foul stinking badness that was seemingly MADE only for mike and company to riff it)
1 - The Passion of the Christ (the fact that this movie is so divisive - to say the least - plus its extreme gore-as-holy-worship just calls out for riff's galore)

a few suggested guest riffers (not for these movies necessarilly - just for movies in general):

Carrie Fisher
Kathy Griffin
Mary Jo Pehl
Trace Beaulieu
Frank Conniff
why would anyone want to do THAT with michell, joel?!

i declare the resurection of the great evil monster that was the old passion thread.  Why would you think this would EVER make a funny riff?

Natureboy

What is even more disturbing then wanting the Passion riffed is the choice of Carrie Fisher as a riffer..........HUH?

Lots of "bring out the gimp" style references during the whipping (I'm sure this movie must be HUGE in the B&D market), throw in some Life of Brian references and some Jesus jokes.  I could see it, although I'd still rather see 'The 10 Commandments'
