Krull was just slightly weird enough to be good, imo. I enjoyed it more than any of the LotR movies.

Krull was the videogame movie of its time - except instead of video games, it was about throwing stars.

I like the idea of doing Wing Commander, or any video game based film for that matter, but I like seeing them go for well made and reviewed films better. It seems they would be more of a challenge to draw funny riff from.
Titanic, Aliens, and the first two Terminator films, for a Cameron list, would be cool, and how about the entire Indiana Jones series. Hard Boiled, The Killer, and FaceOff from Woo. Akira, Steamboy, and Ghost In The Shell for anime in general. The Aviator would be fun too. I realized, after watching the Casino Royale sample, I like the totally serious films getting the treatment better than the more light hearted stuff.

As for a top ten easy list well:
10: A Sound Of Thunder (I went to the theater expecting a bad movie and wound up bouncing my own riffs off my dad.)
9: The Punisher
8: Superman 4
7: Poseidon
6: Days Of Thunder (would bookend nicely with Top Gun and the inevitable Mission Impossible ones)
5: any or all of the Highlander movie
4:any or all of the Jurassic Park films
3: Superman 3( come on you know it's far worse than 4)
2: The Rundown
1: Wing Commander

Wing Commander tops my list simply because I'm a longtime hardcore Wingnut and I'm just happy the managed to get a film off the ground at all.
And please for the love of Shatner, keep the Star Trek riffs.

I originally thought you'd suggested Eraserhead... which could actually work really well.

Agreed, Eraserhead!

A Sound of Thunder is the perfect movie simply because it's a modern day MST3K type of flick.

I am not sitting through Eraserhead again....I don't care how funny their riffs are.

The top 10 movies I'd like to see (or in this case, hear) riffed are:

Dr. Who and the Daleks (I'm a big Dr. Who fan, but this movie is just too cheesy even for the good Dr. I can't believe they got Peter Cushing to do it.  He must have been getting low on royalty fees from his earlier, better works).

Sword of the Valiant (Speaking of really good actors starring in really bad movies, how about this one?  Poor Sean Connery does his best to lend dignity to the role of the Green Knight despite having to suffer through acting with MSTK3 fan favorite Miles OKeeffe.  Miles gives just as an amazingly bad performance in this film as he did in Cave Dwellers even though he didn't get to be quite as naked in this one.

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (I'm talking about the 2005 movie that was way better on special effects but way way worse on comedy than the 1981 BBC TV series of the same name.  It would be interesting to see Mike and the gang do riffs on a movie that is full of riffs itself.

Beowulf (The Christopher Lambert version from the 80's.  It had great fight scenes in it thanks to Chris but his and everybody else's acting is too unintentionally funny to pass up riffing on.)

The Outsiders (If Mike et al enjoyed riffing on I Accuse My Parents, they'll really love this one)

Hallmark Entertainment's Jules Verne's Mysterious Island (this movie manages to pack not one, not two but three great actors into one really bad movie.  Gabrielle Anwar, Kyle Maclachlan and Capt. Picard himself Patrick Stewart give powerful performances but everything else about the film is laughable)

Timeline (the movie I love to hate.  It's my favorite bad movie of my generation.  I has so many promising moments that are actually entertaining and fun to watch but as a whole, it falls flat on it's misaligned face)

A Knight's Tale (Speaking of bad movies with medieval themes, how about this one?  It's also fun to watch but the mix of fairly believable medieval setting with 70's and 80's rock is just too weird.  My disbelief was not only not suspended, it was thrown down so hard it shattered.  Especially when the spectators started singing We Will Rock You in the otherwise excellent jousting scenes)

Beethoven (no, not a movie about the highly talented composer. The one about the slobbery St. Benard who chews, slobbers and tears up the set for almost two hours in an attempt to be funny.  Poor Charles Grodan and John Larroquette didn't deserve to be subjected to this kiddie torture.  But Judge Reinhold did)

Finally,  I submit to you Battlestar Galactica (the original series, not the supremely better new series that is kind of but not quite based on it.  I'd love to hear Mike riff on Lorne Greene's and Dirk Benedict's over acting.  Not to mention the weird robot/alien dog-like thing Muffet.)

Hazzah

Wouldn't it be sweet, if Mike decided to riff a wholesome famil film such as Beethoven just to get that sense of humor a bit more out there?

Indeed, bring on A Sound of Thunder! (Get The Grudge 2 while you're at it.)

Just a thought, but wouldn't it be cool if they riffed an entire season of a show, like the original BSG or Airwolf. It would be a huge project but it would be awesome.

When I first heard that they were riffing Lost: Season One, I thought they might have been doing just that. It's an interesting idea, but I don't know if Mike and Kevin want to be that committed to a series. You have to remember MST never finished any of their serials. For Rifftrax, there are long gaps between movies in the same franchise. I don't think most fans want them to limit their material now that they can to almost anything. Even the creative people behind TV shows don't provide commentary tracks to every episode. (The crew behind The Simpsons and Futurama are a notable exception.) On the other hand, it would make me feel better about the idea of eventually buying the Lost set specifically for riffs. Maybe this is more a task for some  dedicated fan riffing?

bluefalcon74

The Lost pilot was funny. Doing the whole season would probably get really stale like the Commando Cody serial. I think I heard that after the second season of MST3K, they weren't gonna do that anymore.
