If in 3D, please be actually filmed in 3D instead of shoddily converted to 3D in order to charge more money...

That would require forethought and integrity, neither of which Hollywood can afford.

And besides, the average moviegoer doesn't know zip about the production process and probably couldn't tell the difference. Which the studios know.

*sigh* Ah well. With all the money I'll save not going to the theater I could probably buy a blu-ray player, which I've been meaning to do.

The average moviegoer will hopefully see the difference with Clash of the Titans after so many of them have already seen Avatar, start asking questions why the 3D is crappy by comparison, and start voting with their wallets.

Crap, they haven't figured out yet that Godzilla is supposed to be a Japanese dude in a big lumpy rubber suit?

They shoud cut all of the Godzilla computer grapics, get a dude in a rubber suit in front of a bluescreen, and use all the Godzlla-graphics cash to make it look like the dude in the suit is kicking a tremendous amount of cool-lookin ass.

I would watch that.

I agree. If they use their CG for compositing, instead of rendering the creature completely, then they could do a lot of things they wouldn't be able to do with a guy on a miniature set, but it's still a real guy in suit.

So, like the `90's Gamera movies...

That would kick ass.

Is that how they did them? I haven't seen those in a while.

I think it should just be Hulk Hogan painted green stomping around a model city.

And he fights Lou Farigno (painted red).

With cut in shots of a doughy reporter guy.

I'll always see a new Godzilla movie, big fan of the big G over here. 8) And it would be nice, as a country, if America could make a decent Godzilla movie.  :P

Oh man. Love Godzilla! All I ask is that he breathes atomic fire, he's got an attitude, he steps on stuff, and the movie is both fun and badass.

To me, GMK (2001) is the perfect Godzilla movie. Though the original Gojira, Final Wars, Destoroyah, and a bunch of others are all great too. At least half of them are sweet flicks.

Yeah. All the major shots of the monsters were guys in suits or practical effects, but some of the stuff was CG (like Gamera's flying and all the monsters' weapons.)

Cosmic Muse

I have to say the best Kaiju design has to be Gamera's foe Iris. It also had the creepiest wail too.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?
