I'm surprised she didn't write a Mummy character who just likes to tie girls to their beds with bandages.

That sounds more like Anne Rice (she did promise a sequel to the Mummy book she wrote)....

Seriously....

QuoteEgyptian King Ramses, made immortal in his youth, is awakened from self-imposed dormancy and deposited in 1914 London. Ramses's introduction to modern times is charming but slow. The plot, however, revs up a bit when he returns to Cairo and runs into an old girlfriend.

At least this was fairly well written.  However, she started it as a series and then either lost interest or it didn't sell well enough...or both....so there's no real ending to the book.

They should just call this Girl Boner: The Franchise. Hot guys who bite your neck. Hot guys who turn into dogs to imply doing it doggystyle. Oh, but not until you're 18 of course. Until then, enjoy your GIRL BONER (cue Paramore song or whatever).

That pretty much sums it up.

How come when girls watch porn it is cute and parents are fine with it even give them money for it,but when boys do it it is wrong?  I am not saying I am ok with porn i am just trying to figure out why porn aimed at one sex is considered art and porn aimed at the other isn't.  I mean that what these and most cheap romance novels are.

My mom never gave me money to buy porn. I had to use the internet like everyone else!

Doctor Who?

What I mean is parents will give girls money to see movies that have shirtless guys in them and let them hang pictures of them in their rooms.  How is watching someone in a state of undress in order to get excited not porn?

Boys didn't get money from mommy to see Megan Fox in Transformers?

I always forget she is in those movies.  I guess you are right.  I just find it funny that parents that would never give their kids money for real porn will give their kids money as long as it is marketed as an action movie or romance.

What's worse in terms of the Twilight movies is that Mom's are acting the same way about it as there teenage daughters. Which teaches the teenage daughters that it's ok to pine away for an idiot like Edward even though that isn't love, it's crap

She became Born Again, PSCD.

"The Mummy" was written in 1989.  There's been 9 Vampire books, the Witch books, the crossover vampire/witch books and even the sado-machocistic "Violin" in between then and her "return".

She just dropped the promise of sequels cold (and the printing I had said that they're would be sequels).

I guess Ms. Rice has been keeping her next Mummy book under wraps.

I'm now morbidly terrified curious as to how Meyer would do a zombie novel.  :speechless:

Don't give her any ideas!!  :o
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

No she didn't, she became a resurgent Catholic, she returned to devotion to the Church she had growing up. It's similar but not the same as being born again.

What's wrong with porn? I mean really, it's not like humans haven't always liked depictions of sexual behavior and admiring physical attrativness in other people.
