I would just like to pop in and say I refuse to watch any movie that stars a singer, band,or sports star.  Every movie that stars one of those has awful writing, insanely bad acting, and was most likely shot over a weekend as a quick cheap cash in.

(Checks Basehart's list.)
Blast. He's already seen Spice World.

How about
Rock 'n' Roll High School
and
Rock 'n' Roll High School Forever
then?

One is good, the other not so much.

Doctor Who?

I got burned by Space jam as a kid ever since then I have avoided any movie that looks like it was just made to cash in on some one's popularity out side of movies.  Maybe that is a little narrow minded of me but it also has to do with the fact that I don't find sports and music figures to not really be any good at acting.  Most of the time it is just really painful to watch,it's even more painful if you like the person outside of acting.

Magical Mystery Tour and The Rutles are both tv-movies, and they are stricken from the list.

A few more that are not on your list:

Cannibal The Musical -  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115819/
Emperor Of The North Pole -  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070030/

and here's the two I mentioned earlier:
Let It Ride - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097731/
Disorganized Crime - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097211/

I'll try to think of some more.

I can understand that completely.  And - except for Shaq's appearance in the beginning of Scary Movie 4 and probably They Live! - movies with sports "stars" haven't gotten any better.

But don't take out your anger on singers and bands, too.  There's a lot of crossover when it comes to te talents of acting and singing..  Rick Springfield (Battlestar Galactica) and Phil Collns (Buster which I've also heard was very good) started out as actors.  Johnny Depp went to LA to be a singer.  I've heard that Mick Jagger has done some good work in movies.

And then there's David Bowie....Man Who Fell To Earth and Merry Christmas. Mr. Lawrence.

Take it you've seen The Crew with Richard Deyfuss, Burt Reynolds, Carrie-Anne Moss and Jeremy Piven?  Not "brilliant" but worth it, IMHO.

D'oh!

Interesting trivia about that movie: It was the result of the French effort to make a Metal Hurlant (the magazine on which the American Heavy Metal is based) film.

Labyrinth is an awesome movie!

Oh no, this is more like the Left Behind books.

An adaptation of Farmer might make for a more interesting film, or at least a differently bad film to the one I suggested. :)

Whew!  That is one of the weirdest scifi books I have ever read, and I've read a lot of them.

Bruehegl indeed.

Sting in Brimstone & Treacle, Ice-T in New Jack City or Law & Order (Or Leprechaun in da Hood), Jim Brown in The Dirty Dozen, Frank Sinatra in, well, a bunch of stuff...
