Block a user?

I feel like there used to be a way to do so, but I may have imagined it.  I'm all for free speech and people saying what they want, I just feel that if there's a way to avoid coming to my favorite website and seeing pictures of anyone, Jesus or not, bloody and crucified, I'd like to know about it.  It annoys me, not even as someone with religious ideas I've generally kept to myself, but as someone with eyes. 

If not, I have no problem staying out of certain threads.  Thanks!

I have no idea what you are referring to, but I would love to see some sort of "Ignore" feature on this board.  There are a few members whose posts tend to annoy me, and it would be swell not to see them at all.

I have tried to install "Ignore" features on this forum software, but to be honest, the software is kinda crappy. I'm trying to get the next version of the forum integrated with the main site so we can do some cool stuff. Hopefully that'll happen in the near future.

Other than that I"ll try to clean up the threads in question.

I didn't want to go from zero to Church Lady and suggest that, but that works too.

I mean if it's images that bother you, an ad blocking program works.  The Adblock Firefox add-on is great.  I can right-click a picture, choose to Adblock it, and it instantly disappears off the screen and stays off.

But you still see it that first time.  When you know its one person that keeps posting stuff like that, and he posts a lot, then it would turn into a lot of clicking on images you didn't want to see in the first place.  As it is, at least its been confined to one thread lately.

I'm not one to name names because I think that gives undue attention.  But it was all in the two threads having to do with religion and the now-deleted Parking Lot thread.  I believe all the images have been removed, thanks to torgos.  I don't offend easily.  I just have a delicate constitution (*bats lashes, twirls lacy umbrella*) and don't like seeing blood and guts all over the forum.  Savior-y blood and guts, nonetheless.
