What movies do you want to see every copy of destroyed?

It may be ironic, but I don't really spend that much time thinking about movies I hate. Unless they have something that interests me. I guess I wouldn't mind Superman Returns being destroyed along with the Matrix sequels, The Dark Knight, and Batman Forever. But only if they could actually be erased from history as well. If that's the case, then I'd erase The Crow just to save Brandon Lee. Maybe he would have ended up IN The Matrix and maybe the sequels wouldn't have sucked. In fact it's possible that all bad movies stem from one bad movie. If we could figure out what that movie is, the funding for a time travel program would be worth every penny. I am actually going to suggest The Godfather, Part II because it gave birth to the idea of numbered sequels with the potential to be better than the original, which is a sad myth that should have ended with Jaws II.

I would have to say Dead Poets Society, Ghost, & all overly sentimental Chick Flicks (except When Harry Met Sally-that one's brilliant).  As a woman I hate any movie that portrays my gender like a bunch of saps who would only find happiness through weight loss, a guy, or being allowed to play Puck in a high school play (I know DPS is about a boys school but let's face it, they were all pretty femme).

I am not above projectile vomiting to get my way

C'mon, ebeth. All a woman needs is a good Puck.

Frankly the idiot teacher should have been kicked out in the first place, he's apparently too dense to realize that Brando performs Mark Anthony like any other actor, there's nothing especially "Brando" about his performance.

One could almost believe the teacher was a former coke using stand up who just got into teaching to explore his sensitive side or something.

Incidentally I'm starting a Dead Poets Society Hating Society over in the old Indian caves, wanna come?

Mine would be Roots and the Roots: next generation films.

I was forced to watch these movies by inept school teachers that didn't believe in teaching anything throughout the year. I had to watch these films approximately three to four times a year for each film... EVERY YEAR... from junior high through high school. You're probably thinking not too bad... except the films are both about 9 HOURS in length individually!

If anyone needs a genealogy lesson on Kunta Kinti... I bet I can give you a detailed account. Oh god, I'm having random flashbacks now.

Doctor Who?

Wasn't Roots a miniseries and not a movie?

Whatever you call it... it still scarred me for life. All I know is that it was played through a tv and a hell of a lot of VHS tapes had to be used. I would have rather watched an economics educational video over that. There's nothing like watching slaves being tortured, raped and oppressed for 18 hours.

Doctor Who?

Blame your teacher,it wasn't supposed to be watched all at once.

You had the world's dumbest teacher.

I'm definitely in agreement there.

But it proved that there was no such thing as strokes or Alzheimer's Disease back then.  Because there couldn't have been any other reason for the white woman to forget who Kizzy was than she was just being a "blue eyed devil" who deserved her water spat into, right?

For me there is only one.  Titanic.

The fact that this stupid thing is the number one movie of all time really gets on m y nerves.

Also has anyone watched it since it was in theaters?

it is one of the few movies i refuse to ever watch....*

*unless i can be persuaded otherwise by one of the fairer sex

Good Will Hunting, though I'll settle for another cut of the movie where thew smug little prick gets a beat down that puts him in a coma.

Yeah, I agree with that. Titanic is the ultimate date movie. So I refuse to watch it unless I happen to be on a date and see it. Otherwise it's just pathetic for a grown man to watch such drivel alone.
Of coarse if they do a Rifftrax for it, that changes everything.

I like Josh Fruhlinger's suggestion about Revolutionary Road though.:

QuoteI think Revolutionary Road should have been marketed as a Titanic sequel, and framed as a dream sequence going through Leo DiCaprio's character's mind as he froze to death in the North Atlantic, imagining what his life would be like if he survived and married Kate Winslet's character. The numb, soul-crushing lifestyle he envisions for their future would really just reflect the fact that his body and mind are shutting down in the icy waters.

Titanic is pathetic for any sentient being to watch, period. And WHY have we not seen a RiffTrax for this epic piece of snot yet?! I've been waiting since the MST Oscar Special for someone far more clever than I am to tear this thing to shreds! WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG?!?!?!?!?!
