With that said, everyone should buy the 3-riffer versions. Don't know if I would buy the solo riffs though if I already have the 3-riffer version. Just seems kind of pointless to me to buy something that is an improved version of itself. And there are enough similarities in the two to make me feel that I pretty much got all the good stuff from the solo riff in the new one. When I author my DVDs, it will be to replace the solo-riff versions.

None of what I have said is a criticism, just an honest observation from my point of view.

Oh I know - I didn't mean to get defensive, that wasn't my intent. I just wanted to clarify for people who think they might just be a tired rehash or a lazy double-dip, when they really aren't.

And like I mentioned in my later, more detailed post, a good reason for us to redo them is to capture whatever customers might not have bought the older ones to begin with. That's like if we're going to release these on DVD (which I think would be great) it's not meant to be a slight to the customers here - it's meant to attract more people who would rather just have the DVD in a drive instead of a file on their computer.

Although I think we can all pretty much agree that these seem to sound better with all three guys on 'em :)

As a solo riff buyer... I was happy to give a few bucks to hear all three of them riff. Rifftrax never disappoints me.

After seeing how you made Kevin riff first and then MISS when he was only sitting two feet from Mike, which totally ruins Mike's character for the rest of the riff instead of having Mike riff first, I will never buy another version of your terrible Rifftrax.

I haven't seen the Mike solo riff in a long time, but the three riffer edition was brilliant. Fantastic job all the way through. Probably the best of the rehashes so far.

I didn't get to listen to the whole commentary due to technical problems on my PC, but what I did hear was a true gigglefest. I loved all of the jokes made at Lance's expense (such a shallow, stupid, insipid character).

MORE VINCENT PRICE MOVIE RIFFS, PLEASE!!

This is me.  I've tried a couple solo riffs and I just don't like them so I was delighted to see so many of the solo riffs get reriffed with the Holy Trinity.  And they haven't disappointed.

This and Predator are the only Mike solo riffs I've heard. I recently bought the three riffer version of this. It is fantastic.

It probably helps that I don't really remember the solo version all that well, having only watched it twice. However, even the jokes that I recognized from that version seem better this time time around. I also love it when they ad lib and laugh at each others' jokes, and this had a lot of that.

I know no one will read this seeing as how dead this topic is, but....

I really enjoy these really "loose" riffs. This has been my favorite Rifftrax purchase in quite a while. Don't get me wrong, I liked New Moon, PA and T:S and RotJ, but this made me laugh more than any of those. It really reminded me of the good old days of MST3K. I mean the really old days,

So there's now three versions of this?

Does the Live version have all new riffs?

Did you ever post these?

Post all three! It would be interesting to read them.
