TP? I don't Maniac should count either, since it's shorter than the Hulk episode was

Plus, it'll cause the people griping about the numbering to have to re-number them again and possibly cause heads to explode. (Which is my real goal.)

Yeah I asked Mike etc. and they do not consider Nestor a feature. Basically it's like, "Can you buy a DVD of this as the main title." I believe that is the defining criterion.

So you don't count LOST, Heroes or Grey's Anatomy either?

NOW LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE.

Reading this thread makes me glad I don't make my own covers :D

Meh. I just dropped the numbers after people started griping that my numbers were wrong.

Does anyone know why the compulsion to organize and numerate thing like this is so strong? I always like having TV shows and things of this nature serialized.

So later fans can tell how many they're missing, and can do college papers on how riffs in the "30-series" period compare to those in the "60-series" period.

Yes, but I'm stuck with the disorder... to the point of medication.  I *HAVE* to number things!!!

I have come up with a conclusion that will generally appease both sides of this problem.  For DVD cover numbering purposes, Nestor, Hulk, Maniac, the TV shows, etc etc will all retain their numbers...  but for celebration purposes, whatever they decide is number 100 will be...  it will just so happen that the DVD covers will end up saying 102.

Why is this difference in number for the DVD cover relatively unimportant!?  Well, because in a year from now, does anyone really see themselves still looking at 102 and thinking "That was number 100"  or looking at number 100 on the DVD spine and thinking "This was number 98 dammit..."

But the celebration or whatever the hell they have planned for THEIR number 100... well that's the important part!  I, for one, have JUST re-made ALL of my covers (I am on number 81 at the moment...  79, whatever) and refuse to do them all over again... again.

In short, I will accept their #100 as the TRUE #100, but fuck you... I'm keeping it as 102 on my DVD cover.  :D

Can we get an official list of what number each Rifftrax should be?

As someone said before it sounds like a lot of titles aren't going to be counted as a Full Length Riff, (Nestor, Lost, Heroes, Grey's Anatomy Maniac, Hulk, Star Wars Holiday Special, Multiple versions of films, etc)

I think when we figure this out it might be a long time before we reach the 100th riff  :P

What are we calling some of these anyway? Since their not Shorts per say, but shorter than a feature length film. hmm.........

Yes, New Moon was officially 98.   And by "officially" I mean that is what I have it numbered as, so that is now APE LAW.

I file mine alphabetically anyway.

TheUnabeefer

Well, they did say that they have a few to go before the official full length Rifftrax.  That doesn't make the ones we numbered any less official... just less "full-length" ...  so hey, more power to em, as long as they keep pumping out riffs!!!  Our numbering works though for our covers and stuff, as they really are official, just not "full-length" and they don't fall under "shorts" or "presents"

I'm just gonna keep my shizzle as it is, and let the 100th celebration fall as it may, whenever that will be.  It WILL, after all, be the 100th full-length rifftrax. (excluding the "Presents" line)

If they're official number 100 is actually four riffs away, that means my suggestion of having it as a live show could actually work...

Based on this I'm pretty sure they have an online live show planned. Whether or not they now plan to make it a special 100th riff show or not is still up for debate though.

I'm thinking the next live Fathom event will also be available streaming live on the website (for those who live too far away from a participating theater).  If that is the case, then server issues might not be too much of a problem, as a lot of us will choose to see it at the movies.

I don't think that would be the case. Fathom works in a completely different way then their regular live streaming, and having it online would take money away from Fathom.

I'm sure it could be done, if that is one of the things they are thinking of doing.

As for taking money away from Fathom,  they already show events that are available in other ways (Boxing and UFC PPV's for one).  I don't see where this would be any different from that.  If it were the case, then maybe they would limit the live streaming to folks in other countries that can't get the live Fathom events?  I'm sure that would make quite a few people happy.

I suddenly just had a flash of a Losties forum where the fans speculate and theorize way more than the creators.

Eh... gotta have a hobby.   ;)

Seriously, I'm not bad-mouthing anyone here or elsewhere.  I just wanted to point out the fan devotion.

As long as it's in a theater. I hate watching streams on my computer, and I can't hook a computer to a TV, so I'd prefer it in theaters.
