RiffTrax Live Online - Thursday, 1/15 - FREE live riffing of a new short!!!!

[Conor]

Hey everyone!  Make sure to clear some time next Thursday at 9/6 PM est/pst for our first ever online live riffing!

http://www.rifftrax.com/live

Mike, Kevin & Bill will be riffing a brand new short live from RiffTrax HQ, and we'll be streaming it from our homepage via Ustream.  You'll be able to watch it on the link above, and chat on the side during it and for a Q&A afterwards.

Should be really fun, Ustream has some awesome technology (you may have used them to view the PUPPY CAM!) and we're excited to do what we hope will be the first of many live events on line, sine they aren't limited to San Francisco or Comic Con (there you go East Coasters!)

Best of all, the new short "Self Conscious Guy" will be released right after the live riffing.

So once again, RiffTrax Live Online, Thursday January 15th at 9 PM Eastern, 6 PM Pacific.  Be There!

[Conor]

Oh yeah, to re-emphasize, COMPLETELY FREE!

[mrbasehart]

Cool!

*eyes Ustream suspiciously*

Is it available to people not from the US?

[Conor]

Why don't you try it out and let us know?  I don't see any reason it wouldn't be.

[Tripe]

Hey I might actually be able to do that. Often the timing vis-a-vis est and pst isn't all that great from me for things like 20 questions and the like but this might be doable

[mrbasehart]

Seems to work.

[GregMcduck]

I'll be there, even if I have to set my alarm early.

From the Ustream website:

Experience live video. In just minutes, you can broadcast and chat online with a global audience. Completely free, all it takes is a camera and Internet connection. Try it now!

Woooah!

According to http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/meeting.html 9pm EST = 11am here in Perth. Most days that might be a problem for me, but it's dead quiet at the school I work at because it's school holidays, so I should be able to watch it fine!*

Awesome!

Looking forward to it!

* Oh duh, actually that will be on Friday morning for me, which most weeks (including next) I have off! Even better!

[doggans]

Gah, does it have to be Thursday at 9:00? We're hosting an Office-watching party in my apartment.

[Edward J Grug III]

Record The Office and watch it after.

The party will love the Rifftrax.

[RoninFox]

Hmm, so that'd be 7 o'clock for me here in Colorado, perfect!  Couple hours to spare before work.

I imagine the riffs done in this manner will also be available to buy at some point after the event, am I correct?

Yeah, on the site that Conor linked:

A recorded version of the short "Self Conscious Guy" will go on sale immediately following the performance, and can be found here, along with over 25 other shorts riffed by the guys.

[bratpop]

So it will just be a "chat riffing," right?

Reading the info on the site...nope, but there'll be chat to the side.
