Hey, I'm talking about the prequel trilogy here.  I haven't met a single fanboy who hasn't felt that Jango Fett's inclusion in the prequels was completely pointless.

Oh!  And one thing before I forget!  Jango Fett should NOT BE IN THE TRILOGY AT ALL.  Thank you.

You betcha.

No Fetts, nary a Fett will turn up in the Mulligan Universe until they're animated and helping you digest Thanksgiving turkey  ;D

While I agree that no Fett's should appear, I thought I'd post this passage from an old sourcebook I have:

"He (Boba Fett) wears a weapon-covered, armored spacesuit similar to those favored by a group of warriors (from the Mandalore system) defeated by the Jedi Knights during the Clone Wars."

It might not be a bad idea to include this group just to show armor which would later be incorporated by a bounty hunter.

I also second Imrahil's post a while back about an Anakin-Padme-ObiWan love triangle.  If there were an affair between Obi-Wan and Padme (whether real or perceived) it would be a great catalyst for Anakin's fall.  Nothing like a man finding that his best friend/mentor is making time with the woman he loves to drive him around the bend.

Something akin to Leontes in The Winter's Tale perhaps?

Meh, I think the Mandalorians have already kinda been covered in Knights of the Old Republic.

By the way- A story element I think should be in there:
After Part 1, when Anakin's more a full Jedi, there should be a tension between the Jedi and the now clone- infused society that's developing. The clones are coming more and more into use, and the Jedi oppose it. Partly because they think it's morally questionable, but also simply because of a great forboding.
However, people aren't impressed by their "outdated morals" and "paranoia." In the begining, Palpatine supports them, despite massive opposition, making him like the hero. When the war finally starts, his forsight rockets him up to the top. And later he'll "blow the lid off the jedi conspiracy," implying that the Jedi themselves, in the name of holding society back, were behind the invasions, corrupting the clones to do their work.
This, along with the death of Padme, (which I see as part of it still,) brings Anakin under Palpatine's infuence.

Tripe

Ok I can see that, the paranoia stoking blaming the Jedi bit.

However I'm pretty dead set against an actual death for Padme, oh having Anakin believe she's dead sure, but actually having her dead not at all.

There is a significant reason for this, taken from the OT:

QuoteLUKE: Leia... do you remember your mother? Your real mother?

LEIA: Just a little bit. She died when I was very young.

LUKE: What do you remember?

LEIA: Just...images, really. Feelings.

LUKE: Tell me.

LEIA: She was very beautiful. Kind, but...sad.

I don't care what the fan boys say, that is not a baby remembering her mother dying of emotional preeclampsia, that is a small girl of three or four remembering the tiny amount of her mother that she ever experienced.

Thing is i can pretty much see the third movie all laid out the second is more of a mystery.

Including Padme's death still kind of bothers me in light of Leia's statement about remembering her mother as being very sad.  Unless you opt to include the twins as toddlers.

I think Anakin and Padme could both have kids for a while before the shattering events that would drive them apart. You could then have Padme die, and have Anakin THINK the kids are dead.
I'm gonna have to go back and watch the films again for more context before I add too much more to this.

Does Anakin side with the Jedi on the Clone issue? If yes, then that really doesn't create the conflict between Anakin and the Jedi we're looking for. If no, it doesn't make much sense for a former slave to be supporting the idea of people breed for labor.

Junkyard

The tension comes when he's led to believe the Jedi may have really had a part in their invasion. He's even more commited against the clone idea.

GregMcduck

Gotcha.

We were talking about Vader having a vendetta against Anakin. Maybe Vader could be the reason Anakin and Padme are seperated. What do you think would cause Vader to turn against Anakin? Maybe Vader was practicing the Dark Side in secret and Anakin outs him?

Ok some thoughts on the third film

Anakin is in retirement on Tattooine working as the freighter pilot that Luke will believe he was. Being removed from the core of the republic the clone wars are not as much of a concern, he is happy even in the relatively dull life he and Padme are leading.

However one day a familiar face walks through the streets of Mos Eisley, and he has a companion in tow, a man about A. age by the name of Vader.

Padme is overjoyed to see Kenobi again (she has always been fond of him) while A. is a little cagey since K. represents his past and A. already suspects K. will want him to come back to the Jedi.

Not that A. has given up on his skills and abilities;  we see in his workshop that he has constructed a Lightsabre, yep the very same one that will one day be handed to Luke.

I actually think there should be a scene early in Episode One that shows A. tinkering with Kenobi's sabre showing his force attuned mechanical aptitude. sound like a workable scene to include?

I think Padme will escape from Tattooine using her connections to find safety on Aldaraan. I still need to come up with a really satisfactory reason for the spliting up of the twins.

Anakin doesn't know about Leia until he plucks it out of Luke's mind in the Death Star throne room which tells me a) A. didn't know he had a daughter, and b) the twins were split up while babies so they have no real knowledge of each other (although that's obvious from earlier evidence).

I could see that, have A. specifically blame Vader for the death of his family in some way. Which leads to the final confrontation and the end to the trilogy.

I have a feeling we'll need a spread sheet to keep some of this stuff straight before the end. :D

Oh simply say the word, I loves me excel  :D

So obviously in episode II the relationship between Anakin and Padme needs to take it's cues from Han and Leia and not the big book of douche unbelievable romance like in the current Prequel trilogy.

So proud and in control woman (hence The Meeting with the Goddess) and competent and confident man.
