So, Mike and Joel can't find jobs, so they go back to the well of riffing movies to squeeze us MSTies for all they can get?  If RiffTrax and/or Cinematic Titanic sucked, then I wouldn't buy their products.  As it so happens, they're great, so I keep giving them my money.  It has nothing to do with me trying to re-live the memories of MST3K.

And if any one person should be allowed to take that name and run with it, it should be Joel.  I guess that is why Mallon rushed that lame MST3K website, to make it seem like that he was trying to do something new with the franchise.

I don't know... it seems strange to me. Why would he post something like that, as a guest, on the Cinematic Titanic forums? I suppose it could be him, but he owns MST3K.com which would be a perfect place to post something with no lingering questions as to it's authenticity.

I have never been one to particularly enjoy spin-offs because they always seem like shameful versions of the original.

Seriously, he's the one who released those shockingly unfunny cartoons! Where does he get off talking about "shameful versions" of MST3K.

Yes, he has. That is why we can't buy toys and merchandise, except what has already been out there for awhile. I love the Rhino discs, and I hope Shout Factory does even better, but I want to buy Crow and Tom toys from somebody like Sideshow. I can't beleive that a money grubbing corporate guy like Mallon hasn't sold off those rights long ago.

I still have my doubts that this is even Jim Mallon. But, just to play Devil's Advocate here:
Is this actually in reference to the other MST3K-alumni, or is it instead referring to people who have turned MST3K-bootlegging into their business?
