Made it through Subnautica in Hardcore mode.  Got scary a few times, got swarmed by warpers once that kept warping me out of my prawn suit, had used 2 medkits by the time I got out of their patrol area.   Funny, I don't think the predator AI is more aggressive in hardcore but it sure seems like it when you know they can end the game.

Definitely the scariest part of the game, being warped out of your suit.  I don't know if I could take that on hardcore mode.

As long as you hold down W during the warp and move as fast as you can as you reappear you can avoid the warper attacking you directly, so you only get damage from the warp itself.  But I had 4 or 5 in a row, not much time to heal up and get the prawn moving.  And it was near the end, getting stuff to upgrade for more depth to get into the final base and get cured, so extra scary.

I just finished Miitopia... well, the main quest anyway. That was pretty fun but TBH... it wasn't that difficult. It was just mostly a matter of adjusting my strategy... and using all the sprinkles at the most opportune times. What I mean by that is if you want my advice on how to beat the final form of the Darker one, save all your HP/MP/Life/Hyper/Shield sprinkles until the final battle. Don't use them, not even on the 1st or 2nd battle. Just make sure before the battle that the rest of your party members are all leveled up and have all the latest armor and weaponry.

Finished Myst III

The graphics on that plant based island gave me a headache.

Most of the puzzles made sense mechanically, except the steam valves on a floating platform thing, that one just seemed like pointless work to set a pressure regulator.

Not sure I found all the notebook pages, and I tried 4 different endings, I think there must be 6 different ways you can end it?

If I had bought this when it was released I probably would have been disappointed with it (had way less money back then), but now, it's OK, not as good as the first 2 or URU, never played IV, can't remember if I ever played V.

I don't think I played much of Urdu. I remember liking IV and V. The graphics are a big step up, but the resolution might still be pretty low. I'm waiting for my linking book to come before I play them again.

Myst III was worth it just for the "roller coaster" bit ;D I've still never beaten Riven though. I should really get on that.

I finished Celeste earlier today. And by "finished" I mean finished the story. There's still a TON of post game content, plus collecting all the strawberries, left to do.

If you like platformers, you owe it to yourself to play this game. It is the best platformer I have played in a long time. Great mechanics, great level design, memorable characters, challenging, and a plot about coming to terms with one's mental issues I can personally relate to. Best game I've played this year so far, bar none

Iron Curtain

I finished Mega Man X4 in the first Mega Man X Legacy Collection (I didn't bother getting the second), albeit on Rookie Hunter mode (I just wanted to get through the game). So that means that out of all the Mega Man X games I've finished, I beat Mega Man X1 with cheats and Mega Man X4 on an easier mode. I'm not looking to be a hardcore gamer but just to finish them, and I'm fine with that.

Pak-Man

Calamity Gannon has fallen and Breath of the Wild has now been conquered! And I did it all with minimal consulting of walkthroughs and guides. Of course, it's a Nintendo game so just because I beat it doesn't mean I'm even half-done. I have like 60 shrines to find, and all of those DLC challenges and side-quests to conquer. Don't think I'm going to do all of THAT without a guide, but I'll see how far I can get on my own.

Not really "beat" since you can't really beat a roguelike, but I completed the final level in 20XX. That game is actually just amazing fun. Still got plenty of items to unlock, too.

I've never heard of it, but I love Roguelikes, and the trailer looks pretty good. I'll check it out next time I have any money.

If you enjoyed the Mega-Man games, especially the MMX series, you'll enjoy 20XX. The gameplay feels almost exactly the same, with a few different tweaks here and there to make it different.

Beat Mega Man X and Mega Man X2. Now on to 3. Before I couldn't remember if I had played 3, but I definitely have. Quite a few times I think. I remember it being one of my favorites. Maybe because you finally get to play as zero.

Cyrusso

Mega Man X2 and X3 are to me very difficult and even though I've bought them and got them on my 2DS XL... I just feel very little motivation to try and beat them because in the end they always end up kicking my ass.
