Pastor of Muppets

I have a Google Voice number and it is this number I give out to people.  It's convenient that I can forward it to any phone I want.  It also lets me send and receive text messages without a cell phone.

Voice mails are transcribed... sort of.  Their voice to text software isn't very good, so the transcriptions are never very close to what was actually said.  Today I got this:

Quotehey, Michael Depot Keogh from the to infotech this call is from the gods like currently I have a position for Currently, I have a position for.net developers. I've sent you an email feel free to call me on my number 609.

I think something big is about to happen for me!  I am a man of destiny!
I'm not particularly religious, and I don't really like Muppets, but I do love word play.

I started using Vonage when I moved and their voice to text has been pretty accurate, I get an email with the text of the message.

I had some things on hold at the library.  When holds come in, you get an automated phone call from a feminine robotic voice to inform you.  Because the notice is computer generated, Google Voice handles it pretty well.

QuoteHello, this is a message from Indianapolis public library to revise of held items. We are calling to let you know that according to our records and item you requested is ready to collect from the beach grove library to pick up bye Friday 27th of October failure to pick up this item will result in a fine for more information, please contact your library branch. Thank you for using our library goodbye.

It messed up the punctuation, but the words are all perfect.  Well except that the name of the library branch is "Beech Grove" not "Beach Grove".  But you can't blame them for not recognizing a homophone.

I liked this one for its apparent censorship when Google couldn't come close to figuring out what the word might be.

Also she forgot to hang up and made a separate call, I guess on her cell phone, which this message picks up because it runs 2 minutes long.
