I want to reauthor the movie, with the Riff included for a vacation next week. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble ripping my DVD. The most recent forum that has any helpful hints (Transformers 2 child board) refers to a previous version of AnyDVD. The current version has a different layout. I tried to rip the DVD with DVD Fab, in hopes of doing an easier reauthor with Windows Movie Maker, but it wasn't making any progress. Any suggestions?

And yes, I know I could use the App, but, since I would be watching the movie with headphones, there would be no way for the app to get the auido to sync it properly.

Well, it seems the older methods still worked. I did have to modify a few steps from the original reaithoring guide (circa 2009), but, I made a successful reauthor. (For instance, I couldn't get DVD Decrypter to burn the DVD, so I had to use a dofferent program to burn the files.

RVR II

I used DVD Shrink 3.2 and it ripped the DVD just fine, then burned a copy through Nero 9.
I then used my older Pinnacle Studio 9.4 to capture the copy onto my hard drive then added the mp3 track to it, lined it up, adjusted the audio levels as needed and it worked perfect.
That's been my main way of reauthoring 8)

ManUnderMask

I still use the last Slysoft version of AnyDVD and it did it just fine. The only thing to watch out for is this DRM scheme that mutes the audio. I got hit with it during Jurassic World. As far as I know there's no good work around besides using a simple DVD player versus something with DVD capability (like the PS4).
I survived the San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hall H stabbing.

Nobody

DVDDecryptor worked fine for me.  Then my usual six channel Audacity mix, then remux and create an image with DVD shrink.

Have to move up to Blu-Ray someday.

Pastor of Muppets

A little late, but I use DVD Fab when a movie is troublesome.  The downside is that I can't figure out how to demultiplex anything, so I always just clone the DVD into an ISO image file, mount that with Virtual Clone Drive, and then use Rejig to demultiplex from the image.
I'm not particularly religious, and I don't really like Muppets, but I do love word play.
