OK, so I understand there is an audience for movies about big monsters, disasters, wizard fantasties, and science fiction, but I have no idea who the intended audience was for this one. Would not be at the top but towards the top of my favorite new episodes so far.

Agreed. But I would have to chalk that up to the fact that his cameo was actually germane to the riffed movie and not tacked-on.

So good!  One of my favorites.  The riffs were great in this one.  Been going around telling my wife that she's Gus all day.

Very funny riff of a movie that's bad choices all the way around.  Wouldn't have been my first choice for a riff, but I suspect it'll grow on me with repeat viewings.  Host segments were pretty good this time around (with Mark Hammill being great in his visit, as always).
