I quite liked Krennic as well, seeing an average guy desperately trying to stay on top in a sea of exceptional supernatural creatures like Vader or just outright fuckers like Tarkin.  Good stuff.

I'm trying to convince the wife to go to this with me, want to see it again.

The power play going on between Tarkin and Krennic was great, for my money. I always got the impression that Tarkin left a trail of broken men and careers behind him, and it was interesting to see it at work.

Glad you enjoyed it Imrahil.  :)

Johnny Unusual

I saw the movie over the holidays and also enjoyed it quite a bit.  As much as I like the Marvel movies, and though this is part of a franchise, it really does stand on it's own in a way I like and in a way that I hope the other side movies will.

Interesting to see it while at the same time reading "How Star Wars Conquered the Universe" (A better book than title), seeing references to terms and ideas Lucas planned but never went with (a street preacher talking about "The force of others", a group called "the Whills").

Pak-Man

Jumped into A New Hope on New Years Eve with this fresh in our minds. It's surprising how much of a difference it makes to understand everyone's motivations that much more in the first act.

A new hope was such a big part of my life and especially a part of my childhood that I'm still computing Rogue One's effect on it.

I'll admit, this raises some valid points

I want to know why some people have issues with the CGI faces in this movie. I thought they looked perfectly fine. I mean of all the problems a person might have with this movie, that should fall in the "I have no problems with this" category. In fact, I would dare say that my reaction was "Wow", and in a good way.

Question:  Does this movie need to be seen in theaters?

From what I've heard, I'm going to think this movie is alright.  Probably won't love it, but I won't hate it.  I enjoyed the Force Awakens, primarily for the strong female lead.  The action was ok.

Is this movie mostly about the action?  Or is there enough of a story where I'll get some enjoyment out of watching it on my decent sized TV?

it's a big screen film, I think

I agree. Some of the shots are breathtaking, cinematography-wise.

I completely agree.  And that's weird.  I was floored by how good these were.

Picked up a Death Star thermos from the Cinepolis here in Iguala Mexico for $200 Pesos (around $9.65 Dollars) because a YouTube fan from LA said he would pay me $50 Dollars for it..
I passed on it last week when I finally got to see the movie (in Spanish of course) because I thought it was kinda cheap but they seem to be selling on ebay for around $40 Dollars so even if this guy doesn't send me $50 for it, that's still a nice profit :o

Oh the joy of "I have an opinion and it's that everyone else's opinion in wrong", see anyone using the term 'overrated'
