Johnny Manziel Pulled over During Dispute with Girlfriend, Admitted to Drinking
Associated Press

Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel reportedly admitted to drinking alcohol after he was pulled over by the police Monday in Ohio following a domestic dispute with his girlfriend.

According to the police report obtained by Joe Pagonakis of ABC 5 in Cleveland, Manziel and Colleen Elizabeth Crowley were arguing while driving down Interstate 90 when a witness called the police after Manziel attempted to use the shoulder to pass:

The witness told police the couple was arguing and Crowley attempted to exit the vehicle while they were on the road. In the report, both Manziel and Crowley admitted they were having an argument and Crowley threw a wallet out of the window.

The report stated the couple then stopped the car in an Avon neighborhood and continued arguing. That's when a second witness called police. Minutes later, police stopped Manziel's car on Nagle Road where he said both he and Crowley had been drinking in downtown Cleveland earlier that day.

Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland confirmed Manziel was pulled over by the police, noting the incident is said to have occurred around 6 p.m. on Oct. 12. Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer confirmed alcohol was involved:

Manziel issued a statement through Twitter on the incident:

Colleen and I got into a dumb public argument on the way home Monday afternoon.  It probably looked more interesting than it was, and I know I would stop and check if I saw a couple arguing on the side of the road.  It was embarrassing but not serious and when we talked to the police and they realized everything was alright and I was sober, we went home together and everything is fine.

It's pretty important to get a good night's sleep the night before a game, especially on the road, and especially on the road in Seattle, where the opposition always has a tough time.

The Carolina Panthers? They did not get a good night's sleep on Saturday night into Sunday morning... because the fire alarm at their hotel went off at 5:30 AM.

Undefeated Bengals @ Bills with snow on CBS :o
Not sure my Bills are up to the task of beating them but I can hope :-\

This seems to happen several times a season to various teams,  you would think the teams would take precautions, bring security with them to keep an eye on the fire alarms.  Do the teams rent out the entire hotel or are there local guests?  No way to stop someone in their room from "accidentally" setting off the alarm...

You would think they would bring someone to guard their floor at least but yeah any fire alarm on any level would require an evacuation I suppose :-\

So about that Colts trick play last night... ???

RVR II

MartyS (Gromit)

Not sure what that play was designed to do, seems like they were willing to take a delay of game and the ball was not supposed to be snapped.  But if that's the case as far as I know it doesn't matter how the other team is set up, so encroachment/offsides would be the only penalty they could try to trick the other side into.  I'd really like to hear what penalty they were trying to trick the other side into with that play?

RVR II

Well what ever it was..
I hope we can still be friends after this coming Sunday Night when your Eagles come to town :scared:

MartyS (Gromit)

I doubt the Eagles will be the ones to give the Panthers their first loss...  Especially since they are playing tonight, and so far it's the mistakes by the Giants that are keeping it close....

MartyS (Gromit)

Wow, does the NFC East suck or what?  The terrible Eagles are in 1st place!

Bradford did all he could to loose this game, under throwing, over throwing, throwing to guys that were not even close to open, loads of interceptions and another one in the endzone.

Demarco Murray finally got running, and the defense stopped all the turnovers by the Eagles from scoring.   The score doesn't show at all how bad the Eagles offense was.
