Ending a RiffTrack

After watching nearly all of the Riffs done on this website, my only complaint is that the Rifftrax ends early. When the film goes into it's ending credits I still think there's more to be said about the film. Sort of like what you guys did in MST3K where you talk about the film in general or continue to riff the actual credits as they play. I just hate it when it abruptly ends of a sudden.

Sharktopus

I agree. I don't expect every Riff to last through the full credits like Roadhouse, especially with credits that go on for ten minutes, but Mike always leaves us so abruptly. It almost seems like, "Well, this has been fun, but I've gotta take a leak! Bye."

Apparently Eragon is going to have something in the credits...

I have to agree that it would be nice to get a little epilogue on some of the films, with everyone chatting like in the intros or talking about the credits.

Confirm. This is supposed to be true.

I can understand that with Mike (and sometimes guest) doing the only writing for the riffing (as apposed to a team of writers with MST) must be tiring and I'm sure when its over, he must feel like getting it over.

But on the other hand, I demand more as a fan. And I too wish they would go a bit further then: "Well thats all for now..." type of ending...not on all of them, but say every other one or so.

I agree. If I have one complaint is as soon as the credits roll, Mike thanks us and leaves..

Wish there was more riffing there. heckle the names or something.

Give us a good throw-back to the MST3K days!

"Emby Melley? That's not a name, it's a bad Scrabble hand!" (if I could count the number of times I've said that now...)
"And when I get angry, things begin to happen!"

Just Some Guy

Riffing on names in tiny scrolling credits wouldn't be very entertaining.  It's the kind of thing that could be used once.  But a wrap up isn't a bad idea.  It doesn't have to be long, just a few more jokes about the movie itself.  It would give the trax a more natural feeling ending...

AmandaGal

I agree with the wrap up although I don't think riffing is necessary.

It almost feels like you and Mike are ending a bad date or else you're a relative that Mike felt he had to visit but doesn't really care for.  Like, "Well, it's been fun but I got an appointment in the am..."
mike5150 how tall are you?.....in gallons?

bettertomorrowamy

you could do what I do, and just shut the crappy movie off

I have no problems with how they end the trax, 'who the hell watches credits anyways'  8)

Sideswipe

I would, if there was something going on.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

I watch credits, but aside from my other nerd-gasms and geekisms, I also like to look for familiar names in credits. It would be nice for riffs every now and again on credits if there are some goofy names to poke fun at. Like, if I ever did a movie that got riffed, I'd hope fun could be made of my birthname, at least the intense confusion at it.

I watch the credits in the theaters.  There are so many movies out there that have stuff after the credits that a ton of people miss out on because they run away when :::gasp::: words are on the screen.
