Hey, welcome back, Soguru!
Hope you're doing better.
Thank you Edward! I am better to some extent. I still have my good days and bad days though. Mostly bad nights though.

Running morning errands and discover the wife's minivan is 800 miles overdue on an oil change again.. Bring it to her attention yet again and she says she doesn't know where to look even though I've shown her Many Times where the little decal is on the windshield ::)
So I stopped by my friend's mechanic shop and luckily there wasn't a long line. In and out in 30 minutes and the next oil change it will be time for it's 60000 mile servicing. Joy :-[

You know you don't really have to do it every 3000 miles, right?

I'm 24, no one has ever told me that I need to get married and start a family, he'll no one has even ASKED me when I was going to do that. Why do I feel such an immense pressure to do it then? I don't even LIKE marriage. Starting a family can wait for ten years. So why am I feeling like this is something I need to do soon.

Oh, yeah, all estrogen might have something to do with that -_-.

We were told by the dealer every 5000 miles when we had a warranty but now the warranty went out last year so I try to get it changed around the 3000 mile mark to protect the engine 8)

Maybe it is hormones. But if you aren't absolutely, 100% sure . . . don't. Take it from someone who's dealing with the fallout of a poorly thought-out marriage. I thought I had to get married in my 20s because all my brothers did. I just thought that's what you did in order to have a happy life. Yeah, not so much.

Yeah,I'm not even remotely interested in the prospect of marriage. I personally think it's absolutely mental. Not knocking anyone who does it, but I don't like the idea of signing a piece of paper that days "I will love you and stay with you forever." If I want to stay with someone, then I will. If I dont, then I won't. It's pretty simple. But I feel like I've got this massive pressure on me to get married, get a house, have 3 kids. I can do that all WITHOUT the marriage part though.

Some things just aren't for everybody . I mean, marriage, kids. Those are considered norms I guess, but if somebody doesn't feel comfortable or doesn't want to do that I don't think it's fair to tell them otherwise.

RoninFox

Feel the same way about kids. Erica and I do not want them. Every time Erica feels the slightest bit sick everyone at work tries to tell her she's pregnant. We get questions all the time about "when you are going to have your first kid?" Nothing against kids, I love my niece and nephews, I'm just not looking to add to the population.
