I will add, Blair Witch 2. wtf were they thinking, oh wait they werent.

The dumbasses got away with clever marketing via the internet and creating buzz out of nothing.  They made a buttload of money, then figured they could actually write a story and people would be stupid enough to buy into it.

dumbasses.

Highlander 2.    It totally ignores almost EVERYTHING about the first movie
You beat me to it.  I'm with you.

I third this notion.
You know, if the space man puma thing turns out to be the correct religion, I for one will be very surprised.

And a fourthing. I f*cking LIKED Highlander, goddamnit, and they just pissed it all back onto my shoes in the sequel.

That'll be a fifth for me. BTW, back in the Joel days, the MST3K gang said that Highlander 2 was one of the movies they'd love to give the business to, but wouldn't be able.

Say for example....... Hobgoblins 2.

Hannibal, in book form, was pretty terrible.  However, in movie form, it was ok, though nowhere near as good as Silence of the Lambs.

You know, most of the sequels I'd suspect are among the "worst," I think I've managed to avoid seeing.

Though, yeah, Rocky V was pretty fricking awful.

BobEvil

Oh Rocky 5...talk about crap. Although he went from a kinda slow guy in Rocky to like an Ivy Leaguer by Rocky IV...and then in Rocky 5 he was a step away from the short bus....

Anyways, crappy sequels...lesse.....Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (and I did like the first movie), Blade 2 (I liked "Trinity"), and of course, the two that I always mention: Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest and X-Men 3. Goddammit, I want back the $15 I spent to go see those.

Hoenstly guys, you'd be quicker naming the sequels that were as good as or better than the originals.  It'd be a far shorter list, since the vast majority of sequels are concieved by accountants and greedy execs when a movie unexpectedly makes money.  Hence the vast majority of sequels suck.

I'd have to say all the Pink Panther sequals after Peter Sellers died

Ah, but which is worse - Roberto Benigni's Son Of Pink Panther, or Steve Martin's Pink Panther?

I haven't seen the Benigni one, but the Steve Martin has a lousy remix of the original theme tune which grated my nerves every time I heard it.  Which of course plays throughout most of the film...
