On circumstantial evidence they won't go that far.

I'll bet he only gets a meaningless fine, or one game at most...
I dunno.. Sounds like he 'Generally knew' about what was going on to me :-\
Reports I've been hearing range from a several game suspension minimum to the entire season :o

Also, notice that no one is talking about suspending Bellichech. I am willing to bet he will throw Tom under the bus so hard as long as he, himself, doesn't get in trouble. And, because of his culture of cheating, Bellicheck is the real one at fault here.

Also, I have to go back and ask some friends, but I don't think I was as whiney when Sean Payton got suspended for a year as the fucking Patriots fans are. "Goodell hates the Pats because they win so much!" No, Goodell hates the Pats because they get caught, and he hates the media for making him have to do something about it.

I tend to agree.. Bellicheat has been caught enough times in the past and the report seems to have determined that he was unaware of the deflated balls..

Sean Payton and the defensive coordinator (if memory serves me) were paying players to hurt quarterbacks and that was a huge scandal there but yeah the Patriots fans had better get used to life without Brady for some portion of the season as it could be a prelude of what's to come in a few more years :o

Payton was not paying the players just the defensive coordinator but Payton knew about it and that is why he got the suspension.  My point is I didn't fucking whine about it.

Well when Brady finally does retire in a few years, it'll be funny to see their reactions then :P

Tom Brady
Suspended 4 Games
... For Deflategate
4 minutes ago BY TMZ STAFF

Tom Brady has been suspended the first 4 games of the 2015 NFL season for his role in Deflategate.

The NFL just issued a statement saying, "Tom Brady will be suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2015 regular season for conduct detrimental to the integrity of the NFL."

"Brady may participate in all off-season, training camp and pre-season activities, including pre-season games."

The league also dropped the hammer on the Patriots -- hitting the team with a $1 MILLION fine ... and taking away their 1st round pick in the 2016 Draft and their 4th round pick in 2017.

Story developing ...

He got off light :o

You know he will appeal and I'll bet they reduce it down to 2 games.

True but I predict the appeal will be denied if the evidence is pretty concrete :-X

Tom Brady will lose just about 2 million dollars this year if his 4 game suspension holds. :o

Has anyone read any of that "annotated rebuttal" the Patriots put out?  It's hilarious, "the deflater" is just a guy trying to lose weight....  What were they thinking?  I know there are a lot of stupid people out there, but come on, just how stupid do they think most people are?  They would have been better off saying nothing than making themselves look stupid with this nonsense.

Yeah that's hilarious :D
And now I hear the Commish himself will be hearing Brady's appeal of the 4 game suspension.. Yeah I think Tommy is fighting a losing battle there :o

Report: EJ Manuel could 'be done' in Buffalo before 2015 starts

NFL
May 18, 2015 1:42 pm ET

Being a first-round pick doesn't carry the same status it used to. Ask Blaine Gabbert or Jake Locker. Or maybe even EJ Manuel.

The Bills quarterback could reportedly "be done" in Buffalo before his third year even begins if he doesn't make major strides during the offseason, according to a report from Joe Buscagilia of WKBW in Buffalo.

"If former first-round pick and quarterback EJ Manuel doesn't show some serious progress this spring and summer at OTAs, minicamp and training camp, he very well may be enjoying his final few months in Buffalo as a member of the organization," Buscagilia wrote Monday.

Considering the Bills depth chart at quarterback it's impossible to imagine them simply shuttling the former first-round pick out of town.

Matt Cassel was acquired in the offseason via trade from the Vikings, Jeff Tuel is from the same rookie class but less heralded and Tyrod Taylor is Tyrod Taylor. This is arguably the worst position group in the entire NFL.

It would be a massive admission from GM Doug Whaley of his failure in the 2013 NFL Draft -- even though Buddy Nix stepped down as GM after Manuel was selected, Whaley said he was "an integral part" of selecting the former Florida State quarterback.

Manuel even going in the first round was stunning. He was the only quarterback taken in the first 32 picks in a disappointing year for signal callers.

He's lived up to the hype in the sense of everyone panning the pick out of the gates, but he's hardly justified the selection. If Manuel is shuttled -- and ultimately this probably ends up being more of a motivational ploy than anything else -- it's also an economic statement on the current CBA and rookie-wage scale.

So it basically remains a chip shot..

NFL moves extra point to 15-yard line

    Around the NFL

NFL owners have approved the competition committee's proposal on extra points.

The NFL announced the extra point will now be kicked from the 15-yard line with two-point conversions remaining at the 2-yard line. The new rule also gives the defense the ability to score two points on returns.

The approved rule was one of three proposals considered by owners Tuesday at the NFL's Spring League Meeting.

MartyS (Gromit)

Yeah, there are not very many misses from inside the 20, but there might be a few more missed extra points now...

I didn't know the defense couldn't score on a 2 point play until hearing about it last week, that was a crazy rule...

The idea I liked the best was to get rid of it, make a TD worth 7, and have the option of adding 1 more point or if you don't make it in from the 2 lose a point.   I think that would have made the game a little more interesting.
