Can someone help me figure out how to non-close the vote?

If you click "Edit Poll" you should be able to change the number of days the poll runs from -1 to however many days you want. If you don't have that option for some reason, I can sneak in and change it.

I do not have that option

Maybe one category at a time?

If that is what everyone prefers, I am ok with it.

I just saw All About My Mother as part of my 1999 catch up.  It's not best picture worthy, but still a great little movie.  I found it to be pretty open-minded about LGBT issues for being 15 years old.  It's also great to see a movie with so many interesting female characters.  Not sure yet, but it may show up in my acting noms.

It's streaming on Amazon Prime.

The Matrix

You pack of dummies.

Well, The Matrix holds 87% on RT, and Magnolia holds 84%.  So it makes sense that the Matrix would just edge out Magnolia here as well.  Both are well respected by critics, so either should be an okay pick.

Here is my thing with Magnolia v Matrix:

I have watched The Matrix a bunch of times since 1999 and it got better with every viewing.

I have only watched Magnolia 2-3 times since 1999 and it holds up but doesn't get better.

That being said, I actually didn't get a chance to vote because I couldn't make a decision and then the vote ended.

The reverse, only with The Matrix losing its charm.

Weirdly the audience score is reversed (Magnolia = 90% vs Matrix = 85%)

I missed the vote but I wouldn't have voted for Magnolia simply because I hadn't seen it.  Anyway, next up should probably be best lead actor.

Mine:

Nicholas Cage - Bringing Out the Dead
Jim Carrey - Man on the Moon
Kevin Spacey - American Beauty
Tom Hanks - Toy Story 2
Tom Cruise - Eyes Wide Shut
